Animal Focus Vet - ER Reviews
They killed my baby!!!! I brought my 8 month frenchie there because she was having seizures. They refused to see her before paying so i then paid they seen her for 3 mins said there that it was something she ate -and asked me for $1800 to run a blood test. I left and took my puppy to Animal kindness vet they were absolutely amazing I can’t express how helpful they were. Unfortunately my puppy had been electrocuted from chewing on a lamp. The doctor stated that if a proper inspection of her gums and attention to her symptoms would have been done they would have known what the issue was and she could have been saved. Unfortunately i did have to put my baby down. I do not recommend this place at all. We miss you Tiny Marie 🩷
Nov 05, 2024 · alexis scottCame in around 8:30pm and a few people were in front of us. I explained I think my dog might have food bloat and Johnny took him in the back right away. After ruling out food bloat, we were sent into a room to wait for the doctor. In the meantime Johnny was dealing with multiple people and was so friendly. He as quick, attentive, and friendly. My dog ended up vomiting on his own within 10 minutes but Johnny came in and cleaned it up for us. We were able to leave without having to pay anything too. I was so appreciative of Johnny and his kindness and quickness! It seems this would be a high stress environment being an animal hospital and he really dealt with everything amazingly. Thank you Johnny for being sure our dog was taken care of!
Mar 20, 2025 · Ashley BallouOur dog ate a bar of soap. We went to this animal focus er because it was closer. When we went there we had to wait in-line, which is responsible. We waited for 90mins. The doctor seem that she had other intentions $$$$. We asked if she could induce vomiting for our dog. Asap. She said she would, but first she said she needs to do a care plan($$$$money plan$$$$$). So she left. And a technician came in about 30min after with the plan, i asked if they did the vomiting for our dog. She said not yet. We must sign a costly care plan first. They want to focus on payment instead of focusing on our dog. I declined the close amount of $3,000. This place should change it name from Animal Focus Vet ER to MONEY FOCUS FIRST VET ER. Very extortion base. Very Predatory.Horrible business practice. We took our dog to Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care on Tropicana and Durango . The first thing they did immediately was take our dog to get his care. No waiting, what a difference!
Sep 12, 2023 · Vegas702I've had 2 of my 3 dogs taken care of here (one of them has been twice). The staff is friendly and very informative. I felt they really cared about my furbabies, especially when they recognized him. My dog was not afraid to go with staff. Hands down, the best care they have received on the emergency level.
Jun 03, 2022 · Tracy AAround midnight June 20th, 2023 Animal Focus Vet tried to charge us $3600.00 (later reduced to $2700.00) for a cut on my dog’s neck. We ended up going to another 24 hour Veterinary Emergency + Critical Care (VE + CC) who provided cleaning, lab work, staples , and antibiotics for $327.59 (without any hassle or negotiation). Our dog (Billy Bob) is doing great by the way!Animal Focus Vet’s initial estimate had 2 pages of single-spaced charges (FOR A CUT) that included the likes of kidney screening, 1k for bloodwork, X-rays, etc. They refused to provide ANY stitches/staples for less than $2700.00.When we pressed them as to why the charges were exponentially higher than typical… Animal Focus Vet’s nurse claimed that the their owner demands the “highest level of care.”To which I opine, “They’ve turned bill padding into a virtue at Animal Focus Vet.”I’m convinced that Animal Focus Vet is a predatory clinic taking advantage of people at their most vulnerable. Late night/early morning veterinarian emergencies don’t have a lot of competition. I expect to pay a premium for “emergency” services. I don’t expect to be quoted prices that are 8-11 times MORE than a competitor providing the SAME “emergency” services. If you are the type of person who likes to take your car to the tire shop to fix a flat…only to be told you would first have to fully replace the engine and transmission before looking at the at that nail sticking out of the tread…then Animal Focus Vet is the place for you…Everyone else is now warned!P.S. The photo of Billy Bob is after receiving treatment at a competitor’s clinic
