Animal Hospital of Nashua Reviews
Great ortho team!!! My dog tore his right knee (6 months after his left). I was referred by the original vet (left knee) to Nashua Animal hospital as they no longer did ortho surgeries. Dr. Zitz and Jill are a wonderful team. My dog had a TPLO in March and continues to heal well. What made this team great is the overall care and concern they had for our dog. Our pup has some other issues that had to be taken into consideration before, during, and after surgery! They followed up several times and answered any of my questions or concerns the entire time.Thank you for taking care of our boy!
May 13, 2025 · Denise NataleMy dog had TPLO surgery 2 days ago at another facility and I very quickly found that the lick sleeve that I ordered for her was too small. I called AHON today (a holiday), as I could not locate anywhere near us that sold them and the soonest shipping option for a replacement was Tuesday. Everyone that I spoke with was incredibly helpful and kind. I’m supporting my dog through her recovery on my own and, with my vet being closed for the holiday, they made it very clear they're there for support if and when I need it. They even helped put it on her to ensure proper fit and gave me some tips to help with her recovery. I wish I got everyone’s name but they are all lovely and have a clear love for animals. Thank you for making me (and Maya) feel supported!
Jul 04, 2025 · Morganne MacKayMy cousin is a top rated vet surgeon in Tennessee. My best girlfriend from highschool became a veterinarian but retired after 12 years because of people stress. Both my cousin and my friend said the hardest part about being a veterinarian is dealing with the human moms and dads. Pets are loved like children and real family members. If a vet team drops the ball (as do hospital/medical staff in the care of humans); when there are miscommunications, if staff are having an off day, etc.- there will be hell to pay and Google Review stars to be lost due to human emotions dysregulated by worry, unmet expectations, fear of financial insecurity, offense, etc. I get it. Reviews can be a way to express gratitude or discontent. I have only gratitude for this clinic. They saved my ex-mom-in-law's cat's life. They explored ways with us to keep costs down in treating Betty, a senior female cat. These folks genuinely love animals. And my experience of the bedside manner toward human parents was stellar. Yes, veterinary care is expensive. I sat for quite a while, almost five hours (my choice to stay and not return) while Betty had a procedure. I watched client after client pick up their pet post-surgery, receive sound medical aftercare instructions, and awesome, compassionate responsiveness. I'm a retired LPN. They were pros. On the second day of treatments, they had success with Betty and she passed her poop. Dr. Shawn even carried Betty in her carrier, who is huge and heavy (think 🎶 "fat bottomed (felines), they make the rockin' world go round", Queen, 1978) to my car for me because I have a cervical spine condition. The family was not going to be able to afford a 24 hour facility at which Betty would endure a naso-gastric tube to receive laxatives, so, Betty would have been put down if they'd not persevered in repeat enemas over two days. The family delayed seeking vet intervention until Betty could no longer eat. There are 1000 dumb ways for any mammal to die, and death by constipation (fecal impaction) is one of them. But the Animal Hospital of Nashua saved the day! I had to hug both the doctor and vet tech because I was so relieved and happy! It was an emotionally rough several days for the family. They learned their lesson not to delay seeking vet attention to avoid spending money. My shaming worked to get Betty to the vets, but the vet staff did no shaming or guilt trips. My ex-husband even said, "Tell them they are great people." The patient parent teaching will prevent a repeat of this emergency medical crisis. Thanks, you guys, so much! This is Betty resting with my ex-husband's dog this past summer.
Jan 13, 2025 · Robyn O'NealI was going through a really difficult time with my sweet cat, Winter, and was very upset and overwhelmed. The team at Nashua Animal Hospital was incredibly patient and kind, and truly made a difference when I needed it most. The veterinarian even reached out to Vogel Veterinary in Stratham to arrange for Winter’s surgery, and they were just as compassionate and professional.Everyone involved showed such genuine care and concern, not just for Winter, but for me too. I can’t thank you all enough for helping my baby girl. You’re doing exactly what you’re meant to do by providing great care for our beloved fur babies with love and dedication. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Jun 13, 2025 · N BWe bring our dog here when we are in the area and can never reach anyone on the phone. I truly mean never. I am always leaving a message. In addition their online scheduler didn't work for months so you had no way of scheduling an appointment. We were family friends since childhood with previous owner and I am sad to say this business is now very poorly run. Will potentially give them another shot because it is a lot of work to switch vets. I hope the new owners see this so they know the phones are never being answered.
