Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce
For pet owners across the Missouri region, finding reliable, comprehensive, and consistent **Veterinarian** care is a top priority. The **Banfield Pet Hospital** located in Springfield, MO, provides a wide spectrum of veterinary services, operating as both a full-service animal hospital and a dedicated preventative care center. This clinic is part of a nationwide network committed to providing high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats, focusing heavily on a proactive approach to pet health management.
The core philosophy at this location centers on **Preventive Care**, largely delivered through their signature Optimum Wellness Plans® (OWP). These plans are designed to simplify and affordability regular veterinary services, ensuring pets receive essential care like regular exams, vaccinations, and early disease screenings throughout their lives. This forward-looking approach is aimed at helping pets live their happiest, healthiest lives by addressing potential issues before they become serious problems.
The professional team at the Springfield clinic offers a range of services from routine check-ups and **Pet Vaccinations** to more advanced diagnostics like **Digital Radiography** and **Ultrasonography**. The staff is dedicated to creating a welcoming and informative environment for all clients. As one delighted customer, Kylie, noted about their fast and effective service, the team is "super kind" and "super informative through the whole testing process which definitely eased my anxiety." This emphasis on clear communication and timely care reflects the hospital’s goal of making the veterinary experience stress-free for both pets and their owners.
However, it is always important for Missouri pet owners to be informed consumers. The hospital’s corporate affiliation provides both comprehensive resources and a structured plan system, but open dialogue between the pet owner and the veterinary team is crucial for successful outcomes.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Very disappointed and will never be going back to Banfield. We took our german shepard to Banfield back in December to see what was wrong with him. They suspected lymphoma and said it would be nearly $1000 to test. We told them we could not afford that so they recommended a medication trial. The meds didn't help so we brought him back for a quality of life check where they said he had cancer and the best thing to do is euthanasia. They didn't even recommend a second opinion before suggesting to euthanize. After weeks of being heart broken and great consideration, our friend told us about her vet.We took our boy there and we appreciate them so much. After testing for cancer for less than $100 we found out that he in fact does NOT have cancer! We almost killed our baby boy over a simple thyroid issue causing all his symptoms! It tooke less than $400 to pay for everything he needs to begin recovering!!! March 07 · Kyleigh Estep
- i had such an awesome experience here today. they got me in same day on very short notice and were all super kind. what has been a 2 week process with my normal vet was resolved in an hour at banfield. they were super informative through the whole testing process which definitely eased my anxiety. you guys rock!!!- kylie & chestnut :) July 11 · Kylie Mohr
- We have gone to Banfield for years. We always had top notch service. At one point I called for advice for over the counter flea and tick meds for our cats. They said that they sold a better grade through Banfield and I could buy it directly from them. These were drops that went on the back of the neck. Never once did any of my cats need to be seen. Summer after summer all I had to do was call then go pick it up. This morning I called and a you g lady basically told me that my cats needed to be seen and basically that all of the years I went to Banfield for flea and tick meds never happened that I had gotten it from PetSmart not Banfield. I think I am quite educated enough to know the difference between buying something off a shelf and ordering it directly from a veterinarian. I was quite insulted and rather than go back and check history she just continued to say my pet had to be seen because they don't do that. This is inexcusable. July 05 · Tammie Johnson
- Avoid this place at all costs.Even if your pet dies, or you surrender your pet whilst on a wellness plan, even if you're grieving and want to cancel the plan, they will bill you for all procedures done during your plan period and you'll end up paying for the majority of the plan anyway, in my case over 6 months!!!! AVOID!!!! May 01 · Brownie RSPS
- I recently adopted two cats and received two exams. I was hesitant use them because a corporate ran vet would be a cash grab. Boy was I right. The waiting area is abysmal for any animal. Open to constant traffic. Lots of unusual noises. The waiting environment is putting stress on all ready stressed animals. You have to carry animals with sensitive ears across a parking lot close to a major traffic way. Oh yeah, this going to make a vet visit a positive experience for a pet. (Sarcasm)I did decide to get the cats feline leukemia vaccinations. They were already spayed and had all shots for indoor. This turned into a three trip process over two months. I don't blame this on Banfield as cats get sick. What bothers me about it is my youngest kitten had a reaction to the vaccine and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes at 9:00 am I hung up and called Grant Animal Hospital to see if I could get her in. Thank goodness they have a Urgent Care. My Bee is now resting comfortably with pain meds and antibiotics. The way I see it is I paid this place over $700 for 3 visits and couldn't even get help when I needed it. Then it cost me another $150 on top of that to get the proper resolution.Another thing I do not like about this vet is they will not let you go back with your pets. Even if you book an in room appointment they will just take your pet at the front desk. You never meet the vet face to face. Listen up corporate shithead I want to see/talk to the person treating my animal and how my animals react to you. You are not entitled to trust with my animals just because of a college degree. For all I know there isn't even a vet on site. How am I suppose to trust that?Ttyl: Banfield of Springfield does not care about your pet, just you money. It's a revolving door that doesn't include the pet owner. Forget about getting a hold of them when you need them. January 24 · Hazel Orantes
