Bellevue Animal Hospital PC Introduce
For decades, Nebraska pet owners, especially those in the Bellevue and greater Omaha area, have sought out veterinary care that offers both expertise and a compassionate approach. Bellevue Animal Hospital PC stands out as a practice deeply rooted in the community, providing advanced, high-quality medical and surgical care for all types of pets. They understand the crucial role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to being a true partner in your pet’s lifelong health.
What truly distinguishes Bellevue Animal Hospital is its voluntary accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Since 1973, they have been a proud member—the first fully accredited practice in Nebraska—demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards of veterinary excellence. This accreditation means the hospital is regularly inspected and complies with hundreds of rigorous standards covering every facet of veterinary practice, including facilities, equipment, patient care, and medical procedures. For local pet owners, this AAHA stamp offers peace of mind that their pets are receiving care that meets world-class, evidence-based protocols.
The hospital's mission is clear: to provide the highest quality medicine and surgery that benefits the patient, the client, and the staff. This is reflected in their dedicated team, who are friendly, helpful, and passionate about working with both animals and people. Their medical team is highly experienced in treating traditional companion animals like cats and dogs, but they also maintain a strong focus on Exotic & Avian care, a specialized service that can be difficult to find. They are equipped to treat pets ranging from parakeets and cockatoos to ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and various reptiles.
While the vast majority of clients praise the wonderful doctors and excellent care, noting great attentiveness and clear explanations of medications and tests, the hospital acknowledges that transparency and communication are vital. In any busy practice, occasional communication challenges can arise, as seen in feedback regarding prescription details and customer service interactions. The hospital strives to maintain a standard where clients feel listened to and respected, ensuring the medical team is available to discuss all concerns, particularly regarding complex issues like parasite prevention effectiveness, which can vary by product and application. The continuous commitment to quality, backed by their AAHA accreditation, underscores their dedication to resolving patient concerns and maintaining their reputation as a trusted, high-standard provider in Nebraska.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I brought both of my pets in for a visit and was very impressed with the level of care. The staff was warm and welcoming to both me and my pets, demonstrated great attentiveness during the examination, and took the time to clearly explain the medications and tests being administered ☺️ My pets were very pleased as well as myself! - Came here to establish care for my dog, let the staff know I take him hiking often and had concerns about ticks. He was prescribed frontline and I was told this would take care of that issue and make it so I could safely still take him hiking. I found the vet to be very friendly, the techs as well. Fast forward about a month, he’s had his first dose of frontline two weeks prior and we go on a hike. He comes home with four ticks not just on him but attached. I pull them off very much alive. They’ve been on him at least 1.5 hours at this point, plenty of time to transmit disease, but I didn’t get to say this because I was cut off by the receptionist over the phone. The box clearly states “repels ticks”. This was an expensive medication and did not work as advertised. I call the vet and when I get a callback, the receptionist does not let me speak and cuts me off mid sentence several times. They state if I bathed my dog after medicating him that may be why this is occurring, but before I can say this isn’t the case, I’m cut off again. I’m told that the medication does not repel ticks, it kills them once they bite (the opposite of what the box says), yet the ticks were very alive when I pulled them off. I ask for a refund due to the false advertising, and they refund the unused doses but not the dose which didn’t work as described. In person, the red haired receptionist was rude, asked who told me the medication actually repels ticks and then blamed the manufacturer, and again cut me off mid sentence while I was trying to speak.Transparency would have been appreciated, instead of prescribing something which has false advertising on the box and then rudely refusing to listen to the customers description of the issue. My dog now has a rash at the site of one of the tick bites, which will require a separate vet visit and blood work at a vet office that actually listens to their customers. Clearly this medication does not kill the ticks after they’ve bitten your pet, and clearly it does not prevent the spread of disease effectively. The costs should be the responsibility of Bellevue Animal Hospital for selling a medication which does not work as described. Both in person and on the phone not a single question was asked about my dog’s status, rashes, how long the ticks were attached, whether they were live or dead when removed- nothing. In fact, the receptionist refused to listen to anything I had to say without cutting me off midway through.I won’t bring my dog back to a place which allows staff to be so disrespectful to customers, and clearly does not care about their patients. - This last visit was fairly heart wrenching for me. My 5 year old kitty had liver failure and we had to put her down. The staff was absolutely amazing through this tough time. It was hard to let go of my furry baby but they really went the extra mile to help make it all as smooth as possible December 20 · Kit Rose
- We love this Animal hospital. They are always very professional and really pleasant to speak with. They take very good care of our little Chihuahua. We have tried 3 different Vets so far and this is our favorite go too! May 22 · Rob TruckingBear
