Blue Cross Animal Hospital Reviews
So thankful for this place. My dog was bitten by another dog. I called this place in an emergency and they said they'd take me in for an appointment right away - got in within an hour on a weekday morning. In the midst of all of the adrenaline and scrapes from having to push the other dog off my dog, I was overwhelmed. My dog was shaking from shock and bleeding at the neck - I thought he was going to die. Dr. Dawson did a great job at stapling my dog's incisions. So grateful that they saw me on such short notice! This was just a little over a year ago, and I still think about how lucky I was that they took us in.I was worried about having to pay thousands that I didn't have, but they were able to get his stitches, treatment and meds for a veryy reasonable cost (that being said, my dog didn't need anesthesia as 1) he was so shaken up and 2) he's a pretty docile, quiet dog). My baby still has some discoloration on his fur, but I'm glad that he's still alive.
May 13, 2025 · Uria ParkMet with Dr. Campbell and his staff today for my english bulldog Sammy. Sammy has lymphoma cancer, Dr. Campbell got right on top of things, put together a plan-of-action, and started treating Sammy right away. Dr. Campbell and his staff took their time, they didn't rush me, and they answered all my questions. I'm so glad I came here, Dr. Campbell is VERY smart, he and his staff made me feel a lot better about the situation when I left. I'm so glad my friend and veterinarian referred me here, I HIGHLY recommend Blue Cross Animal Hospital. Thank you Dr. Campbell for helping my baby.
Jul 10, 2023 · Clint CollierDo not ignore the many, many 1 star reviews. This place is doing something wrong. Our vet recommended them for our dog’s lymphoma and then Dr. Campbell assured us that our dog would likely live 12 to 18 months. This seemed reasonable because she was healthy otherwise and in high spirits. But they did something while they had her back in the back for testing because that night she changed and never recovered. Stopped eating and became lethargic. We told them and they prescribed anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea medicine but it didn’t help. We learned later that week from our main vet that she was dying of kidney failure and that we should not treat it and instead do one day of palliative care before letting her go. It was heartbreaking! We were waiting on tests from Blue Cross and I called them and left a message that our dog had died and asked them to not contact us about her. They ignored this request and called twice!DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!!
Jul 17, 2024 · Willow FreeFor years my family and friends have took our fur babies to see Dr.Cambell at Blue Cross Animal Hospital. He was by far the best veteran. We miss him !That being said things have changed. My fur baby was sick and when I called to see if I could bring her in I was giving a appointment for 4 days away . What??? I was in shock that they don't do emergency visits or any type of walk ins anymore. So I've changed my review from 5 stars to 3 because the staff is nice place is clean. They seem like they care when you have a appointment. With having a older fur baby I need a Vet office that can help her when she is sick not when they have a next available appointment. To sum it all up this place is good as long as you don't have a sick pet . Very upsetting that they wouldn't squeeze her in.So we called around and found someone to see her it went great and she now has a new vet that I love almost as mush as we did Dr.Cambell. RIP Dr. Campbell !
May 14, 2024 · Crystal RichardsonThis is Rocky, the sweet 2 yr old dog that Dr. Campbell was boarding. At 10pm on Thursday night 3/30/17, Rocky escaped and was struck and killed by a car. Why was Rocky outside in a fenced area at 10pm alone, Dr. Campbell? Why have your and your staff not apologized to the owner? Why did your staff lie to owner about when Rocky escaped? Why did your staff try to charge the owner for the boarding costs after Rocky was killed in your care? Shame on you. You are a disgrace to your profession.
