★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I took my cat in and they brushed his issues off as him still adjusting to the home. They didn't even bother to exam him.Took him to another vet in Waukesha and they found crystals in his urine and got him started on a new diet right away. Literally after 1 day he is a completely different cat. I wish I would've gone to this other vet sooner. August 29 · Megan S.
- I took my five year old holland lop in for a neuter appointment and I was thoroughly impressed by the staff and simple booking process. As someone who has lost their first vet due to retirement and then referred to another business that clearly only cared about money over the animals. It was refreshing to enter bluemound animal hospital and even feel the difference in comfortability my rabbit Mochi had during the appointment. They offered a lower rate than quoted for the initial consultation and was great at communicating the timeline the day of procedure as I was working remotely.I highly recommend this vet to all bunny lovers and can’t wait to return for his check ups. - We had a not so great experience with Bluemound Animal Hospital a while ago. Our dog has pretty bad anxiety, though he has never shown any aggression, he just barks and occasionally growls. They would put a muzzle on him, which I understood as they do not know him very well or that he would never even try to bite, so it is for their safety. It got to the point, however, where they were requesting we give him two full doses of different sedatives prior to his appointments. They once cancelled an appointment when we were in the exam room because he was barking too much. I know appointments run late everywhere, but he had been sitting in a small, hot, unfamiliar room for over 30 minutes, so you think perhaps they would consider that. We were surprised at their inability to work with him, but figured his anxiety was just more severe than we thought. After the incident I describe below and switching clinics we realized that it wasn’t him…the new clinic can work with him just fine with no medication, no muzzle, different techs/drs, etc… but whatever, maybe it was just a bad fit for him.The real issue happened when we called because he woke up one morning and could not move. He was randomly paralyzed and stiff with his legs straight out. They told us they could schedule him for an appointment in two days. Two days??? That just seemed wild to us for the situation. We called a vet down the street and they had us come in immediately. He had suffered a stroke. We never went back to this clinic after that, especially after we saw how easily the new clinic was able to interact with/treat him normally, even with his anxiety. Definitely not a good fit for dogs with anxiety. August 24 · Flannery Brewster
- We’ve taken our cat to Bluemound Animal Hospital for many years and really love the place. They are professional, caring, good prices, good service, easy to schedule and pay, easy to park and get to. 5 stars all around. May 03 · Jay Fish
- Awful experiences here. Not only from the prices but the vet trying to over medicate my puppy. They turn the phones off when they are under staffed. The wellness exams is less than 2 minutes. They will try to give you the most expensive medication. I had a vet tech tell me Dr. Weaver chooses the most expensive medication and to choose a different vet at the clinic. They lost fecal samples multiple times. June 06 · Casey Hoessel
