August 26 · Ladominic Brandon-BerkleyThe staff are very caring and treat your animals with complete respect. They will go over all of the options available to treat the cause of your visit and the pros and cons of each potential route. I'm normally very wary of people around my cats however, seeing how the staff interacts with them makes me sure that I chose the right place to take them for care.
July 25 · Allison HarbaughI took our Rusty in thinking he had dental issues, nothing major, a little gingivitis in back teeth! The staff was so nice and patient with me trying to find out what was going on with him. He said that it's just that he has a boney facial structure. Also, I wanted to try something to lessen the tearing in his eyes, so I bought some treats to give him.
March 03 · Brenda LubbersBreton Village Animal Clinic is amazing. Their staff is knowledgeable and experienced, gave me all the options for my injured dog after a dog attack, and are compassionate. I can tell they truly care about their furry patients. I’ve been taking my cats and dog here for a year now and always receive kind and great service. I highly recommend this clinic!
April 23 · Suzanne ParcellIf you expect support & compassion at one of the hardest moments of pet ownership, humane euthanasia, DO NOT use this clinic! As new clients at the Breton Village/Cascade Animal Clinic, my husband and I were treated like suspects for our agonizing decision to euthanize our offensively aggressive dog, who had attacked and bitten multiple people and gone through extensive professional behavioral training without success.A stone-faced vet assistant asked a barrage of questions without a hint of kindness or sympathy, putting us on the defensive from the get-go. Vet Dana Isard was even worse. She made further accusatory/gaslighting comments, causing even my husband feel compelled to explain how much we loved our dog and our long, painful road to making this decision so that we could keep the people in our lives safe (including friends’ grandchildren). But rather than acknowledge our painful situation or offer an ounce of understanding, Isard actually chose to tell us how hard euthanasia was on staff. As if she wanted to make us feel more guilty and heartbroken on an already heartbreaking day -- ?!The entire process took painfully long for both our dog and us – 1.5 hours in total. After the suspicious questions, they took him in the back for a “quick exam.” We waited for over half an hour, worrying why the exam was taking so long. We finally left the exam room to tell the receptionist we were worried and ask what was going on. Eventually a vet brought our boy to us, already heavily sedated, tongue out, but still looking frightened and struggling to draw his tongue in. I asked that they quickly finish since he was visibly uncomfortable.I can’t imagine what kind of heartless and incompetent vets it takes to treat clients so coldly, botch the procedure, and turn a “humane euthanasia” into something that felt inhumane for both us and our dog. We’re in our 60s, lifelong pet owners. We’ve unfortunately gone through euthanasias a number of times. But never has one been as stressful and heartbreaking as this one. The kindest person I encountered throughout the ordeal was a complete stranger in the parking lot, who noticed me leaving the clinic sobbing and gave me a long hug.BEWARE -- this clinic lacks professionalism, competence and compassion!
