★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been bringing my dog here for about 5 years and the staff are truly some of the best humans. I can tell they deeply care about animals and when I see them interact with my pup I genuinely feel that he’s in good hands. They are also so kind and supportive when I get emotional about my dog aging and give me all my options when deciding on his care. I can’t thank these folks enough for caring and being good people :’)
July 08 · Leah ShortMy cats, Wasabi and Miso, have been coming here since 2023 and have had the best care. We ❤️ Dr. Costin. I can tell all of the staff in the office really care about them, and truly want the best for their wellbeing. Wasabi had a dental cleaning and some teeth pulled last week. Leading up to the procedure and after, I received regular communication from staff checking in on her recovery and they answered every pre-procedure question I had with so much knowledge and kindness. Being the anxious person I am, I definitely called twice prior too lol. Wasabi had a little bit of a hard time afterwards, and I was able to call and get her in for a same day appointment after her procedure with her regular veterinarian. We got everything sorted and she is doing SO MUCH BETTER already. I have my happy, sassy cat back and it's been so great to see. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate this office and the staff for everything they've done for my cats, to put it simply I will never go anywhere else for their care. Highly recommend - they deserve all of the kudos!
August 05 · Gillian DowkerI just wanted to thank Dr. Wojtas and all of the team who helped our pregnant street cat Motley. Everyone was very gentle and caring with her, and did everything they could to help her feel comfortable after coming off the streets, including helping with her matted fur. Today she gave birth to seven healthy kittens!
April 15 · Kayla HeemstraThis review is long overdue. This is not a place to take a dying dog from cancer. My Brittney was looked at July/24.for holding his right paw up. Something he’d been off and on for months so difficult to pinpoint. They thought it could be neurological and recommend a MRI. brain scan. $$$ knowing timing was critical called me at home several times because they just happened to find an open time for my pet they just loved to death. We decided to put him down. A vet that does euthanasia walked in the door, looking at him across the room and said,” Oh, he has shoulder cancer, that’s why paw is curled up, by the time you see it there’s nothing you can do.” Well unless you want to make thousands of dollars just before the dog dies, recommend some expensive testing while you still have time!Non-human, means no empathy or compassion in the people making these calls. Karma is rough!
April 29 · B FGenuinely loved the staff at VCA but BE CAREFUL if you are purchasing the Care Club plan and need to cancel early. My family and I moved downstate and I had asked in person what next steps were for our dogs Care Plan because though it isn’t cheap - it was worth it. I was told if I cancelled that day, due to paying in full it appeared I’d be getting a refund because we didn’t use all of the plans full budget (it ended in August). Assuming all staff understood the context of that plan, I allowed for them to put a note in for their Manager who wasn’t in at the time due to being sick so a refund could be issued post-cancellation.The following week, I called to confirm that the refund was going to be issued so I could use the funds to purchase a new Care Plan downstate at a VCA branch and was told that in fact I wasn’t going to receive a refund but my plan was cancelled.I would have absolutely never cancelled the plan and would have loved to use the rest of my services if a refund was not going to be issued. However, it was sadly assumed that I wanted to cancel without communication that I ONLY would have cancelled if I received the refund. I was told that after the cancellation was completed, services would not be able to be re-activated.It’s unfortunate that we lost out on the rest of our plan we could have utilized until August with our fur baby and a very sad way to end our experience with VCA Northeast Animal Hospital.
