When considering VCA Woodland Animal Hospital, it's important to weigh the pros and cons to determine if it’s the right fit for your family and pet. While the provided customer reviews present a mixed perspective, they offer valuable insight into the hospital's operations. The positive review highlights the staff's kindness and the hope for a good experience, while the more critical review points to specific concerns about communication and consistency in care after a particular veterinarian departed. This kind of feedback underscores the importance of a strong, consistent team. The critical review points out a crucial element of trust between a pet owner and their veterinary team. The feeling that a pet's serious condition was not identified in a timely manner is a significant concern that any pet owner would share. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very nice staff. I wish everyone was on the same page though as far as information. I have my two fur babies going there and will update my review after their neutering 😬 (yikes). I just wish they kept puppies/dogs overnight like they do kittens/cats. Anything can happen after a procedure
October 29 · Melanie MWhen I first came to this vet. It was wonderful. They literally saved my cats Minnie's life. But that's not because of this location. That's because of the veterinarian Dr. Ambrose. She was INCREDIBLY observant and I could tell she was passionate about her work. She left the location and moved on and I am very happy for her she deserves it... After she left tho. This location became negligent. We have another cat Millard, or should I say HAD. He got sick with a bacteria infection back in the start of February. Now, bacteria infections are extremely contagious but never got to our other cats. We could not figure out why. The vet said to not worry about it. He started losing more weight and his fur, they said to not worry about it. He started making weird movements and having breathing issues. They said not to worry about it. Until one night we noticed that his SKIN had begun peeling, not just his fur falling off. We made an appointment with a cheaper vet first thing in the morning and the vet felt his stomach ONCE and said "There is something extremely wrong with your cat." Turns out my cat had cancer. And a big indicator was a certain amount of fluid in his stomach that's pretty much always been there but I didn't know that was bad I'm not the professional! The vca vet held him, felt his body, and didn't notice anything and never made comments about his irregular heart rhythm. Dr. Ambrose would have noticed, and we could've had more time to emotionally prepare to lose our boy.The day we found out he had cancer we had to put him down because by that point he had days to live. Which was Thursday the first. And then when VCA called us to ask what they could've done better, they very rudely tried to make it OUR fault for not asking for diagnostics when they told us he would be okay (and they offered the diagnostics for his herpes which we already knew he had). Apologies for listening to what the professional tells me. It's not my job to know what to do, I don't have the degree. I didn't go to school for this. I came to VCA for help because that's what they're there for.I won't be returning. It's a waste of 200$+ a visit. We found a better vet that's much cheaper and has proven to be reliable.
May 03 · Stellar GlitchI went to this hospital to have some questions about my pet medications. One of the staff was extremely rude. Her attitude was really nasty. She should be fired. Do not take your pet to this place. Take your pet somewhere else. They also charge a lot higher than most. It is not worth it doing your business with them. Find another hospital where staff are not ill-mannered.
May 05 · Fe NVCA Woodland, especially Dr. Galbraith, has been so wonderful while we’ve had a sick pup over the last week!! They responded to texts on the weekend, fit us in for an appointment first thing Monday morning and have text several times after the appointment to see how things are going. Thankfully, our dog is on the mend, but I would have been a nervous wreck if it weren’t for Dr Galbraith at VCA Woodland! Thank you so much!!
May 24 · Mary DeKamI have two mini goldendoodles that I have been bringing to VCA Woodland hospital since I got them as puppies. The entire staff is so professional and caring about every pet. The veterinarians always take extra time at appointments to teach me about my dogs: their breed, temperament, enrichment activities, safety and health issues. The facility is spotless! The atmosphere very calming. They are extremely efficient. My puppies love their visits!
