Companion Animal Hospital Introduce
In the heart of Hillsboro, Oregon, and the surrounding communities, pet owners are seeking a veterinary clinic that is more than just a medical facility—they want a true partner in their pet’s health journey. Companion Animal Hospital stands out as a genuine "delightful gem," as described by one local pet owner. This is not a large, impersonal corporate vet; it is a dedicated, private practice that puts the well-being of every animal first. As a veterinarian, animal hospital, and veterinary pharmacy all in one, this clinic offers a comprehensive suite of services, from routine wellness checks and vaccinations to specialized care for exotic animals and compassionate support during the final stages of a pet's life.
The core philosophy of Companion Animal Hospital is rooted in empathy and professional excellence. The staff is consistently praised for being "friendly and professional" and going "above and beyond" to help both pets and their owners. One customer noted how the team, including the vet techs, was able to gently trim their dog’s nails when no one else could, a testament to their patience and skill. The veterinary team takes the time to address every concern, as shown by a doctor who printed out articles to help a client with their dog’s anxiety. Their ability to handle animals with care, including a "skittish" German Shepherd and a "nervous" blue heeler, has earned them a loyal following, with some clients even traveling from as far as Battle Ground, Washington, for their services.
Companion Animal Hospital is conveniently located at 110 NE 25th Ave, Hillsboro, OR 97124, USA. This central location makes it a great choice for residents of Hillsboro and the wider Washington County area. The facility is designed with accessibility in mind, providing a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. These features ensure that the clinic is welcoming and easy to navigate for all members of the community.
The clinic’s scheduling is a key feature that makes it a convenient choice. While some services may be first-come, first-served, the option to book appointments, especially for routine care, helps to reduce wait times and ensures that you and your pet are seen promptly. This is a significant advantage for busy Oregon pet owners who need to plan their day. The clinic's staff is always ready to accommodate your needs and will work with you to find a convenient time for your pet's visit.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I absolutely love everyone at this office. The girls at the front desk are friendly and professional. The vet techs were able to clip my dog’s nails when no one else could and they were very gentle with her. The vet took the time to address the issue I had with my dog’s anxiety. She even printed out articles with information on understanding why my dog gets anxious and a couple of places to reach out to for help. That’s above and beyond to me. The best part is that you could book appointments instead of first come first served. Overall, I highly recommend this office
June 27 · Candace RuedaI found this clinic by accident several years ago (3-4 years) and have been coming here ever since, even though I now live in Battle Ground, WA. The staff is amazing—they handle my German Shepherd and my blue heeler with such care, which is especially important since my blue heeler is skittish and easily spooked. The doctors are open, knowledgeable, and always take the time to explain things thoroughly. The entire team is very personable and welcoming. The only downside is that the wait time can be long if you just walk in, but if you arrive early in the morning, it’s much better. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable veterinary clinic!
April 09 · LeAnn WebbWas able to get in for a quick vet visit for a known ear infection. Dr. Gomez was kind and quick. She handled are extra large doggo easily, was very kind and easy to talk to. We've switched over to companion for primary care.
August 09 · Shana RyanWhat disappointment. I am not sure if i visited the same clinic as all the other people did that gave a great review. Arrived for my appointment only to be placed in a room to wait for over an hour. Never did anyone walk in to say, there is going to be a long wait would you like to re-schedule? Who knows maybe i would have been left there all day if i did not decide to leave. Walked to the front only to be ignored by an employee, when she finally acknowledged me couple of min later, the look on her face was priceless, like she ate a bag of dog left-overs and how dare i distracted her. ZERO respect for customers. Your messaging states to be KIND to employees but you forgot to be kind to people that spend HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of dollars so that you can have a job. I have been going to this clinic for many years with multiple pets but this visit just put me over the edge. There are so many other clinics with same prices. Go else where if you have respect for your self and your pet.
August 20 · John SmithExcellent, compassionate care. Very good value. Professional and kind staff. We are clients for life, this was the best care we've ever received for our pet. Dr. Patton made us feel so welcome and at-ease. She listened so patiently to the research I had done. She swiftly identified a assessment plan - and while I was at the office we got a diagnosis and left with medication. My pet is already doing so much better.I screwed up with my appointment, and they accepted me as a walk in anyway. I had to wait for the people in front of my, but that's completely reasonable. I really loved the way Dr. Patton worked directly with me on the assessment, the planning, and working to stay within my budget. I made it clear we'd pay what was needed to care for our pet, but it didn't stop Dr. Patton from thinking through what to prioritize, how to be efficient. I felt like I had an immediate ally in the care of my pets. What a gem of a human being and professional.Being a vet can be really taxing emotionally. Animals cross the rainbow bridge, they are sick and in distress - and the owners are distraught. Vets do this work every day. I know some day I'll have to say goodbye to my fur baby, but Dr. Patton was doing everything possible to push that date out as many months and years as possible. She also had a great sense of humor, was very personable - and open-minded with my amatuer diagnostic speculation. It was almost more like we were thinking through the problems together. We will never go to a different clinic, and I'll always as for Dr. Patton. THANK YOU for the high quality care and reasonable fees. Companion Pet Hospital in Hillsboro is top notch!Brad
