Cox Bruce DVM Reviews
My family has taken our furbabies toNorthside since 1992--well, my parents are still clients, but I moved out of town in 2022. It had occurred to me to leave this review now because last Tuesday, I lost my elderly tortie cat, Sally, to kidney disease, and Dr. Cox treated her for hyperthyroidism while I still lived in Waco. If you need a vet who deals with animals and their owners alike with compassion and empathy, Dr. Cox is your man.About 10 years ago, Dr. Cox made a house call (though I don't think Northside does those anymore) to euthanize our 21-year-old kitty, Sox, who also had kidney disease. Dr. Cox was so very kind and gentle with our old guy. He injected the sedative and then asked if there was a spot in the house where Sox loved to nap. So we moved our baby to his spot by the fireplace, and we sat and stroked him and talked to him as the sedative took effect. I still remember Dr. Cox saying something to the effect that he liked to imagine a cat on drugs would envision themselves bounding through fields of catnip and chasing after squirrels. We laughed through our tears, and we knew that we had given Sox the best life possible and a peaceful end.Thank you for caring, Dr. Cox.

We trust him with the care of our animals. Staff is always helpful and very caring.Always a great experience with Dr. Cox and the staff
February 07 · Steven WalkerDr. Cox is one of the only vets that I will take both my cats and dogs to for both preventive and health issue veterinary care. He is friendly, open minded about treatment options, very informative and, perhaps most important, very empathetic to both you and your pet. I've taken pets from every stage of the life spectrum to Dr. Cox at the Northside Animal Hospital; tiny baby pups and kittens as well as kitties on their last leg of their life journey. Every time I've received good vet care and personal empathy and respect.
October 22 · Jeanne KenyonDr. Cox is the very best vet. He is kind & understanding and knows his stuff. The assistants in this office are also very caring & kind - they always go above and beyond their duties. Thank you Northside Animal Hospital for your compassion!
