As a highly specialized veterinary cardiology practice, CVCA Cardiac Care For Pets focuses exclusively on the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions in animals. Their services include:
- Echocardiography (Cardiac Ultrasound): The primary diagnostic tool, providing detailed imaging of the heart's structure and function in real-time. This non-invasive procedure is performed with the owner present for the pet's comfort.
- Electrocardiography (ECG): Recording the electrical activity of the heart to diagnose arrhythmias and other electrical abnormalities.
- Blood Pressure Measurement: Essential for assessing cardiovascular health and guiding treatment, especially for conditions like hypertension.
- Holter Monitoring: 24-hour or longer ECG monitoring to detect intermittent arrhythmias that might not be visible during a brief in-clinic ECG.
- Cardiac Consultations: Comprehensive evaluations by board-certified veterinary cardiologists, including review of medical history, physical examination, and discussion of diagnostic findings and treatment plans.
- Medical Management of Heart Disease: Developing personalized medication regimens to manage various cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), degenerative valve disease (e.g., mitral valve disease), and arrhythmias.
- Congenital Heart Defect Evaluation and Management: Diagnosis and treatment planning for heart conditions present at birth.
- Pre-Anesthetic Cardiac Clearance: Assessing a pet's heart health prior to non-cardiac surgeries to minimize anesthetic risks.
- Pacemaker Implantation: Surgical implantation of pacemakers for pets with certain types of severe bradyarrhythmias (slow heart rates).
- Interventional Cardiology Procedures: Minimally invasive catheter-based procedures for certain congenital heart defects.
- Collaborative Care with Primary Veterinarians: Working closely with your referring veterinarian to ensure seamless, co-managed care and timely communication of findings and recommendations.
- Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologists: Staffed by highly specialized doctors like Dr. Everett, who have undergone extensive training to become experts in pet heart health, ensuring the highest level of care.

CVCA Cardiac Care For Pets Reviews
Dr. Everett and Victor were the consummate team for my Rosie. They were gentle during her exam and apprised me of every element Rosie’s health throughout. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience than that.
Jul 02, 2025 · MartinI highly recommend this pet Cardiology office to anyone who is looking for one. Bentley and I went to their Hunt Valley location. First, the office is very prompt. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30am. I arrived at 8:27am. I was walking to the back by 8:34am. We met Victor, Bentley’s tech, and he had a vibrant personality and was very informative on the process. We met, Dr. Everett, and she was amazing! Again, very informative and personable. She did an amazing job with reviewing previous records of Bentley’s primary vet and familiarizing herself with his case (which for me is VERY important). She re-explained the process, pointed out results from the Echo in real-time, and made sure to answer EVERY question (and trust me, I had a lot). This place is amazing and I encourage everyone to trust CVCA with your pet’s care! I am very blessed to have them following and supporting Bentley!

Apr 01, 2025 · Laura BiggersThe Dr. Everett and her tech, Maria, at Hunt Valley CVCA were organized, on time, professional, kind and caring to my senior hound. She is usually terrified of the vet but they handled her with such kindness that she wasn’t afraid at all. I highly recommend this practice!
