This includes administering core and recommended non-core vaccinations to protect against common diseases, such as rabies and distemper.
Puppy and Kitten Care: Tailored programs for young animals, covering initial vaccinations, deworming, nutritional guidance, and discussions about socialization and training to ensure a healthy start in life.
Parasite Prevention and Control: Comprehensive strategies to protect pets from internal and external parasites, including fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal worms, through testing, preventative medications, and advice on environmental control.

Positive Pet Experience: A standout highlight is the reported positive reaction of pets themselves. One reviewer notes that their puppy, Teddy, "does not shave to come to visit them for vaccinations," and that "they are very kind to him and are always happy to see him." This indicates a gentle, patient approach from the staff, creating a less stressful environment for animals.
Dedicated and Kind Staff: Despite one negative review regarding a phone interaction, other feedback emphasizes the positive in-person experience, describing staff (specifically Oleg and Alexander) as "very kind." This suggests a team that genuinely cares for animals and forms positive bonds with them.
Community-Oriented Care: As a local clinic, Dorchester Pet Clinic is positioned to understand the specific needs of the Dorchester community. Their emphasis on good prices and welcoming pets reflects a desire to serve their immediate neighborhood effectively.
Building Long-Term Relationships: The "best clinic!" sentiment from a grateful pet owner, highlighting consistent positive interactions with Oleg and Alexander over time, points to the clinic's ability to foster strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets. This continuity of care is vital for monitoring chronic conditions and providing consistent support.
It is important to note that public feedback can sometimes be mixed, and a single negative experience, particularly over the phone, should be considered in context with other, more positive in-person accounts regarding patient care and staff kindness.

Dorchester Pet Clinic Reviews
After an unpleasant experience on the phone today I will not be visiting again… Extremely rude. The prices are also ridiculously expensive. I hope the clinic will consider their feedback and improve, especially with their hospitality.
May 11, 2025 · Kayla Dinhthe best clinic! with good prices! We are very grateful to Oleg and Alexander for helping our puppy Teddy. They are very kind to him and are always happy to see him. He does not shave to come to visit them for vaccinations. thank you very much for everything!
Jul 28, 2024 · Mary GramovichGreat veterinary. My dogs have been seen there. We more than satisfied with their services
Feb 09, 2025 · Jav CastI decided to take both of my dogs to this clinic because of the low costs, but lately I might just take them back to VCA - where we used to go. The staff is very friendly, but the lady at the front desk is not kind at all. She doesn’t even seem like she enjoys working there. I asked a following up question about my dog’s medication and she responded with attitude. She specifically said “ I don’t know why people keep asking me the same question, when I already told them”. She shouldn’t work there if she treats people like that. Also when I called the clinic not to long ago, to keep them updated about my dog. I realized that it was the same lady that I met today. Even on the phone she was very rude, she assumed that I wasn’t taking care of my dog. Even though I was keeping the vet updated on the situation. I hope they find another receptionist because she’s very unprofessional.
Nov 15, 2021 · Kim HanWhen I first got my puppy I had brought her to this clinic to get her first vaccines. We only had about 2 visits here before we moved. I had since been going to a different pet clinic in Canton, MA. My dog has pet insurance and for one of the recent claims the insurance asked for something called S.O.A.P notes from her very first visit. So I reached out Savin Hill pet clinic to request this notes and I spoke to a lady at the front desk and explained to her the situation. I also explained that the insurance company states the S.O.A.P notes are just detailed office notes I am not sure if it was a communication error but she insist I was asking for "surgery records" and that her exact words " you do not take care of your pet because you have not got all of her vaccines". She then states " I will fax over records, but I do not like when people lie". I was so confused because all I asked for was office notes. She then states "good luck " and clicked on me. I called back requesting to speak to a manager and she states "there is no manager". This is horrible customer service. I need a manager to call me asap or I will just go into the office and request to speak to one in the office.
