★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Highly recommend. Beautiful facility, friendly and helpful staff. My 7 y/o 80lb dog recently developed diabetes - Dr Benjamin & team have been a godsend. I love that I see her & the same team Every Single Appointment - not a different vet every visit like other places. She is patient - never rushes me through the appointment, listens and answers every single question. She is very thorough and detail oriented. The team is very communicative over the phone and via online portal messaging. Their diabetes monitoring and care has been invaluable. I recommend them to anyone in the area with a pet.
March 05 · Chelsea WykeTruly the best. Started going to Duke a few years ago after trying out several other vets in the area and it has always been a great experience. They kept my older dog healthy and comfortable through aging and felt like friends. Incredibly responsive to emails and calls anytime there was an emergency, knowledgeable staff, accommodating with scheduling, and empathetic caretakers. My dog had a few dental procedures performed and they were always awesome with check-ins and with post-care.
February 13 · Amanda JohnsonI believe I was intentionally misled in my appointments with my bird, who was in critical condition. I had two appointments and during my second appointment, I had a test run on my bird to detect bacterial infections. This test indicated that there was an influx of “gram positive bacteria” but the vet marked it as normal despite her exhibiting severe discomfort. But days later she was taken to an emergency vet late at night in which they determined the cause was the previously identified gram positive bacteria. This was a shock, especially since Duke recommended I do the test with them. I feel deceived and out the money that could have otherwise headed my bird sooner. The negligence no doubt contributed to my bird’s worsened condition.**Update:Following my original review about my bird's care at Duke Animal Hospital, I received an email from the clinic that I feel further highlights why I lost trust in their approach. In that message, they confirmed that a gram stain performed during my second visit showed gram-positive bacteria. Despite my bird showing clear signs of discomfort at the time, they deemed these results “normal flora.” In Duke’s response below, you can even read how the results were interpreted as “can be considered normal.” Just days later, an emergency vet diagnosed my bird with an overgrowth of gram-positive bacteria and yeast—findings that directly aligned with what Duke had already observed, but chose not to act on.Rather than acknowledging the possibility of a missed opportunity to intervene earlier, the clinic insisted the later findings were “new” and that no oversight occurred. While I understand that avian illnesses can progress quickly, it’s hard to accept that the presence of bacteria combined with visible symptoms was not taken more seriously. What felt especially disappointing was that instead of addressing my concerns with empathy, they ended the professional relationship—citing a “lack of trust” after my review. At no point did I place blame for offering the test; my issue lies with how the results were interpreted and communicated.Ultimately, I feel that my bird’s suffering could have been lessened had Duke taken a more proactive approach. I want to emphasize that I am not making this review as a targeted attack, but to make aware other bird owners an experience that could make a difference. I’m sharing this in hopes that others seeking avian care remain vigilant and feel empowered to speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
April 10 · Benjamin CreechHad a new-vet appointment for my cat and Dr Saddler & Zach the Tech were both awesome with handling him. I feel like Zach went above & beyond with helping clean our carrier / swap the towel, and Dr Saddler gave a super clear explanation of what’s probably going on and what next steps look like. Getting an appointment was fairly easy and prices felt very reasonable, easy 5 stars
April 30 · McCoy DohertyMy dog had to have an incredibly expensive emergency surgery and I’m so glad I took her to Duke for it. They were very empathetic about the situation and made it possible for me to afford the surgery. I also appreciated the consistent updates and check-ins while she was in surgery and after while she recovered. A couple months later, my guinea pig passed away and I was met with the same empathy and kindness. Every experience I’ve had here has been very personalized and genuine. I appreciate everyone at Duke so much !
