Eye Care for Animals - Annapolis Best Gate Reviews
Dr. Hyman is a miracle worker. When I brought my sweet, Sue, to her two summers ago with two corneal ulcers, I was distraught with worry. Not only did she put me at ease, but she saved his eyes and sight. I'll be forever in Dr. Hyman's and her wonderful, compassionate team's debt for everything they did (and continue to do) to help care for my Sue and his eyes. I cannot recommend Dr. Hyman and her team enough!

Jul 01, 2025 · Jennifer HaleI came to Dr. Hyman with my Irish Setter after a failed treatment by my regular vet (nothing against them, they do not have the same equipment/training). I am so glad I did!! Something microscopic was boring deeper into my girl's eye and with her low tear production, it wasn't coming out on it's own. Dr. Hyman & her staff are excellent with the treatment, discussing all aspects and expectations. We had to do surgery and the outcome has been much better than we could have hoped for! I HIGHLY recommend using Eye Care for Animals.

Apr 09, 2019 · Diesel RipleyBegan Visits in July 2020 (during Pandemic). On-going visits continue… (recent appointment June 14, 2021)The only reason it’s not at 5 stars is because of lengthy waits once we arrive for appointment and while our dog is being looked at and because of Pandemic, cannot go into facility, yet.Last year not only did we go thru a Pandemic I thought I would ever live through in my lifetime but our dogs eyes began to have serious issues.Prior to escalation of eye issues, she had been rubbing them for quite sometime. During home, primary vet visits we have never been told she has dry eye. Which is a condition for dogs. Maybe cats too! But we had been told to keep watch of her left eye bc it had 3 small ulcers.Upon returning from a trip, hubby calls to inform me daughter and he had to take our Sophia to Emergency Vet in Camden, De because her left eye became very disfigured and red. After visit and receiving steroid medication (warning: should not give to animals!) Her left eye seem to have gotten better. Dr. mentioned ulcers but did not pin point anything further. Just wanted our money! Again, this was at ER in Camden, de.Shortly after, Sophia’s right Eye became infected. Took her to another Delaware vet in Bear. Wow, what a great facility! They checked her and told us her right eye had an Ulcer and would burst at any moment. She needed eye surgery right away or she would lose her eye. It was devastating! They recommended a pet eye vet in Christiana (Newark), De but upon calling them, they would not be able to see her until end of August! Even though this was an emergency!I took it upon myself and began searching for Eye vets online. I found one in Annapolis, the facility I am currently reviewing in case I lost ya! This place is Sophia and our savior!I called them and told them situation. I pleaded Sophia’s case. The receptionist said to email her the situation again and send as many pictures of Sophia’s eyes. I sure did! Two days later, after Dr. Jennifer Hyman reviewed Sophia’s case, we had an appointment. The very next day, she had surgery on her right eye. Turns out she has a rare eye disease. She will eventually lose vision on both eyes. We visit this facility every 3-4 months for Sophia’s eyes to be checked. She is doing wonderfully for the most part. Yes, gradually losing vision but at least she has her eyes. The people at EC4A are amazing from the nurses or aids that come get Sophia to take her into facility, to receptionist and mainly the doctors! Thank you!
