Fishtown Animal Hospital Reviews
I adopted my sweet cat from their associated rescue Fishtails and had the best experience during the adoption process and have had nothing but phenomenal, empathetic, and knowledgeable care at all of my check ups and other steps along the way. I swear by this rescue, and Dr. Cohn in particular and have encouraged all my pet parent friends to visit them. Fishtown animal hospital makes my feel at ease that my baby is getting the absolute best care possible at all times.

Jan 06, 2025 · Gina BondarenkoWe recently took our dog in and we were told she needed dental and a mass removed. When it came time to get this done the doctor on staff had no idea what mass we were talking about even though our doctor told us to do this. So we were told to do yet another vet visit with the dental person and the person that does surgical with the sole purpose to identify her masses and let us know if any needed biopsy. Okay yet another expensive visit but we thought it was important. First I get there and they both arent' there even though I was told by them they both have to be there. So finally they both are there and a map of all the masses is made and pointed out one that they think should be removed. Fast forward to the day of surgery and dental and the person taking her in asks ME what mass I want removed. I said the doctor should know since we had an entire visit just for this. I was then asked if I was even the owner in a very rude and judgey way. I said yes and I have an idea of which one but I was never told I had to confirm which one since I am not a doctor. They continue to gaslight me saying I should know that even with human surgery you always have to confirm things. Well I know nothing about surgery so how would I have known this? Shouldn't I have been told to be sure to be able to confirm what THEY told me to do. Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Lets add on the fact that every time I have sit in the waiting room with my very scared and anxious dog for 20-30 minutes only to be brought into a different room to wait another 20-30 minutes. We took all of our dogs out of this vet. To sum things up I believe their lack of communication is dangerous and would not trust them with our dogs again.
