Choosing a veterinarian is a deeply personal and important decision, and the choice to use Four Peaks Animal Clinic is often based on the long-term trust that has been built within the community. The most compelling aspect of this practice is its history and the relationships it has cultivated over nearly three decades. For a client to entrust their "fur babies" to a single doctor for 28 years is an extraordinary testament to their confidence in that veterinarian's skills and character. The review that praises Dr. Pruitt as "an amazing and very thoughtful Human Being" with extensive and compassionate knowledge highlights the personal and professional qualities that matter most to pet owners. This kind of praise goes beyond standard medical care and speaks to the a veterinarian’s ability to connect with and care for both the animal and the owner.
While one review expresses a tragic and heartbreaking experience, the other, which represents a long-standing client, paints a picture of a trusted, long-term relationship built on reliability and compassion. This dichotomy is not uncommon in healthcare, but the decades-long trust from a dedicated client base is a powerful indicator of the clinic's overall standing in the community. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I believe Dr. Pruitt misdiagnosed my young cat. His breathing had gone to 60 xs per minute, yet he wasn't wheezing, sneezing, coughing nor runny nose; but he did have crackly sounding lungs.I asked to help hold my boy during a blood draw, but Dr. said he'd been doing this for many years. In hindsight, I should have grabbed my baby and run out of there AND, being a doctor, he should have recommended another X-ray instead of the blood work because he and his assistant were so rough with him, trying to draw blood, that his gums turned blue...twice. They gave oxygen only a minute or two. Doc said he might not make it home. Then why didn't he keep him there for observation? My boy passed away on the drive home. 😭He wasn't yet two yrs old and had been playing with his mate that morning. I'll never recover from losing him and his mate won't either. Best, smartest cat I've ever had the honor of knowing.
July 30 · Art Life A DiaryDr. Aubrey Pruitt and his beautifully bride have been caring for our fur babies for the last 28 years.Dr. Pruitt is an amazing and very thoughtful Human Being that has the most extensive and compassionate knowledge for fur babies.
May 02 · susan truittWe are so fortunate to have found Dr. Pruitt! He treated our senior GSD with Valley Fever and a sick kitty with a nasty upper respiratory infection (and a very grumpy cat disposition!) who wouldn’t eat or drink for days. We have tried other vets in the area only to feel frustrated by the level of care received for the prices charged. Four Peaks pricing was very reasonable for the loving care our pets received. As long as we are in the valley and he is practicing, we will be loyal clients!
May 07 · VK HThe vet and owner, Dr. Pruitt, is a hard working and caring person. He is very busy, yet still was there after hours picking up the phone when our 14 yr old dog Moose was having an emergency. Moose had to stay there multiple days over a holiday weekend and the doctor was there every day and brought him back to health. He spent a lot of time explaining things to us and talked to us each day... I would highly recommend him if you care as much about your pet as we do ours.UPDATE:Unfortunately our family pet Moose passed. There was nothing else Dr Pruitt could do, his kidneys and pancreas were completely shut down and we tried to nurse him along with IVs and such despite him not able to even force him to eat or drink. RIP buddy Moose. He had a great life and we did with him too.Dr. Pruitt came to our house for it, he was really respectful and understanding, it was a sad event but was so great having him pass in his favorite chair with the whole family there feeling loved and his long struggle was over. Dr Pruitt did this after hours with very short notice, and all the tools and medicine to sedate him peacefully, was amazing to have this option for the family. He was able to take Moose away quickly too once over, which avoided a lot of pain for us. He was cremated and a couple weeks later Dr Pruitt had his ashes and a nice presentation to remember him by. Thank you sir, we couldn't have asked for a better doctor for Moose and us.
September 18 · Johnathan ChuprunI brought my cat Precious here in September of last year because she had awful teeth and had gotten really sick and skinny because she wasn't eating. I brought her here, and Dr. Pruitt immediately got to work. He removed most of her teeth, kept her a few days to make sure she was well enough to come home, and gave us everything we needed to nurse my little cat back to health. And it worked!! A year later, and she's a playful, still ravenous (but that's normal), and an incredibly cuddly little girl. I couldn't thank you all enough for what you did for me and her.
