Friendtown Veterinary Clinic Introduce
Hello, Ohio pet parents! The decision of where to entrust the care of our beloved animal companions is one of the most significant we make. Our pets are family, and we expect their veterinary providers to offer not just medical expertise, but also profound compassion, clear communication, and a supportive environment, especially during sensitive and emotional times. In the diverse landscape of veterinary clinics across Ohio, it's crucial to thoroughly research and understand the experiences of other pet owners to find a clinic that aligns with your values and expectations. This article aims to provide an in-depth look at Friendtown Veterinary Clinic in Tipp City, offering insights based on available public feedback to help local users make an informed choice for their pet's care.
A veterinary clinic serves as a vital partner in your pet’s lifelong journey, from routine wellness checks and vaccinations to managing illnesses and providing comfort during their final moments. The quality of care extends beyond medical procedures; it encompasses the empathy of the staff, the clarity of communication, and the overall atmosphere of the clinic. When a pet faces serious health challenges or reaches the end of their life, the emotional support and gentle handling provided by the veterinary team become incredibly important for both the animal and their human family. Understanding a clinic's approach to these critical moments is essential for any pet owner in Ohio seeking a truly compassionate partner in their pet's health.

End-of-Life Care: While general clinics typically offer euthanasia, it is important to note specific client experiences in the "Features / Highlights" section related to this service.
Friendtown Veterinary Clinic exhibits a mix of experiences among its clientele, with some features highly praised while others raise significant concerns, particularly regarding sensitive situations.
Highly Attentive and Thorough Diagnostics (Positive Experience): One client noted a significant improvement after switching to Friendtown, stating the clinic "listen and get to work to find any and all causes for your pups visit." This indicates a proactive and diligent approach to diagnosis, preventing pet owners from feeling their concerns are "just imagining things" or "down play the severity."
Compassionate Listening and Understanding (Positive Experience): For clients who have experienced negative veterinary encounters elsewhere, Friendtown is seen as a place that values their feelings and actively works to address pet issues, making them feel heard and validated.
Flexibility and Availability: The clinic is praised for being "great with working you in and making time for each pup," which is a valuable asset for pet owners with busy schedules or urgent needs.
Extremely Negative Euthanasia Experience: A deeply concerning review details a "very sensitive and emotional time" during euthanasia that was described as "extremely rude and cold." Key issues included a vet's inappropriate comment ("what do you expect"), a lack of clear communication regarding the sedative's effect (preventing a proper goodbye), high costs for cremation, a "small metal tin" for an urn, and the failure to provide requested paw prints or fur. The pet owner felt their dog was "scared and they were rude and cold and treated it like nothing," leading to profound regret.
Discrepancy in Experiences: The stark contrast between the positive experiences of thoroughness and compassion for general visits and the profoundly negative experience during euthanasia suggests a potential inconsistency in service quality, particularly in handling emotionally charged situations.

For pet owners in the Ohio region, particularly in Tipp City and surrounding areas, Friendtown Veterinary Clinic presents a complex picture. On one hand, some clients have found them to be attentive, thorough in diagnostics, and flexible with appointments, providing a significant improvement over previous negative experiences at other clinics. This suggests that for routine visits and proactive health investigations, they may offer valuable care, with staff who actively listen to concerns and work to find solutions.
However, the severe and heartbreaking account of an end-of-life experience raises critical questions about their consistency in compassionate care during the most sensitive moments. For pet owners, the manner in which a clinic handles euthanasia is paramount, and a lack of empathy, clear communication, or attention to personal requests during this time can be deeply traumatic. Therefore, while Friendtown Veterinary Clinic might be suitable for some aspects of pet care due to their diagnostic thoroughness and general availability, potential clients in Ohio, especially those anticipating or needing end-of-life services, should approach with caution and potentially discuss their specific expectations for sensitive procedures upfront. It is crucial to ensure that the clinic's approach aligns with your personal needs and values, particularly when it comes to the dignified and compassionate farewell of a beloved family member.

Friendtown Veterinary Clinic Reviews
In 2024 I had to put my 14 year old dog to sleep, and we went with Friendtown and I regret it. They were extremely rude and cold during a very sensitive and emotional time. The vet putting our dog Oakley to sleep said "what do you expect". I don't know what she meant by this as our dog had cancer in her jaw and the only treatment option would be to remove her jaw, which is just inhumane so we decided to euthanize her. They didn't tell us when they injected her with the first sedation that It would put her to sleep, they said it would just calm her. So we didn't get to say goodbye properly. The cost for the euthanasia and cremation was expensive and the urn was a small metal tin. I didn't get any paw prints or fur even though I requested it. If I were to go through the Pines pet cemetery directly I would have received all that and a better urn for way less. I regret taking my dog who i grew up with here for her finally moments. She was scared and they were rude and cold and treated it like nothing.
Jun 02, 2025 · Holli ReynoldsAfter having a terrible experience with a vet clinic that resulted in the death of my late dog Apollo we switch to friend town and we will never switch back. They never make us feel like we’re just imagining things or down play the severity of our feelings they listen and get to work to find any and all causes for your pups visit. They are great with working you in and making time for each pup.
Jun 03, 2025 · Harley OsheaI have went to friend town vet 3-4 times in the last two weeks I had one litter of tow pups delivered there and signed up two other dogs in the breeding program. I had a 9 am apt today with 3 dogs it’s a hour and ten minutes drive for me . One of my dogs used the bathroom in my car so I called and let them know I was going to be late and what happend they said FINE. Nothing else so when I get there they said it’s a 45$ late fee or a 50$ cancellation fee after I just spoke to them and they said it was fine. If they had a problem with me being late it should have been said when I just some to them. Instead they let me drive another 45 minutes to get there and then told me it was 45$ extra. So I told her I called and everything was fine thr lady that is head reception there is very rude and arrogant she acts like her small position there holds power it’s a very uncomfortable feeling being there I seen them talk down to many people over the last two weeks and laughing over phone calls with each other when they would hang up because someone could not afford to ungodly prices they was telling them I over heard them spreading other clients business and talking about them behind their backs I even watched her talk down to and belittle a new employee I only could tell she was new because the way she was speaking to her that was much older then her at that I had a horrible experience a total waste of my time there money hungry very rude unprofessional I would rather pay double somewhere else then come to a place with such negative energy as a business owner I would never let a employee act the way their head receptionist does and the way she lies gossips and her rude mouth speaking to coustomers and co workers no job in this world is worth putting up with something like that so I hope the older lady I seen that day will stand up for herself and demand to be treated with respect as for me I just called another vet and I’m on my way there now my money will spend Just as good over there and I don’t have to witness the very sad situation they have going on very greedy vet do not spend your money here I have a great relationship with several other vets that will be glad to have my business they just lost 3500$ that I was going to spend in the next 4 days for a 50& late fee cause their staff don’t know how to conduct themselves
Feb 25, 2025 · blair talbottAmazing staff. I came in on a very hard day and they really took care of me from the moment I walked in the door. Pricing was substantially better than I expected and they personalized the memorial items I received in a truly heartfelt way. RIP Ruby(2007-2023), the best doggy ever.
