Garden State Veterinary Services Woodbridge Reviews
Thursday 11:30pm 5/29/2025 we had to rush my dog Stimpy of 15 years to this emergency hospital. There they greeted us as soon as we arrived. The receptionist immediately called Dr. Catherine and the tech took him to the back for testing. Approximately 5 minutes later Dr. Catherine came to speak with us and we agreed on blood testing, urine testing being stimpy was lethargic (staggering when walking and walking into the walls) Approximately 40mins later with the blood and urine tests his numbers were a bit off but no infections. It was believed the tumor in his chest broke and cancer began to spread, being he had a rapid decline within a few hrs. By 4:30am friday morning 5/30/2025 we decided after 15 years we needed to end his suffering. Dr. Catherine was amazing with her hospitality and her level of bedside manner. When administering the first shot unfortunately Stimpy passed but the second shot was still needed. We thank the GSVS in woodbridge NJ for all they have done for our family and the amazing care they gave our families ½ child Stimpy Addam Amari. If ever we decide to house another dog in the future this will be our go to for their emergency needs.
Jun 02, 2025 · James AmariMy kitten was sick with and not eating so we took him to the animal clinic which is open 24 hrs at 1am. Front desk receptionist was very friendly and very helpful. The staff was attentive and let us know all details and what to expect and what tests were needed. When we saw the doctor Catherine she was very professional and let us know what was going on with our kitten. After some test and medication we were told to follow up with our regular vet. Overall we were very happy and highly recommended if any animal emergencies pop up for your fur babies after hours.
Jun 13, 2025 · CaLiTo76I had a great experience at this emergency vet with my dog. I took him in because he had been vomiting and diarrhea for 6 days and we noticed blood in it. We saw Dr Arye and she was very nice, listened to my concerns and suggested how we should proceed. I did ask the cost of each thing we were doing to not be surprised with a monster bill at the end. I was seen right away and we were checking out a little over an hour with everything. Dr Arye also suggested we switch his food and gave us a few cans to try and thankfully my dog loved the food and he will stay on it as long as he’s feeling good. Dr Arye was kind and compassionate, we hope to see her again if we have an emergency. I thought the prices were fair and all tests were explained to me before hand. The office called me with test results as they came back and they called to see how my dog was feeling. Thankfully all the meds that were prescribed to him helped and he’s feeling better. I highly recommend GSVS Woodbridge emergency vet.
Mar 23, 2025 · Ewelina HohenfelsFriday morning our 13.5 year dog George needed emergency euthanasia. We wanted to have an in home euthanasia but didn't have enough time to wait for an appointment so went to Garden State Veterinary Services in Woodbridge. From the moment we arrived we were treated with respect and compassion. Since our dog was a big boy, and was in his bed in our car, we asked that he be euthanized him there. All of the staff were amazing. They were so accommodating and understanding. From the two technicians who came out to put in an IV, to the veterinarian who did the euthanasia . It was a peaceful ending for our beloved companion. Unfortunately I didn't get the names of the techs and veterinarian who helped us, but hopefully they can read this review and understand what compassionate and professional people they are and what a peaceful ending it was for George and us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Jun 09, 2025 · V Park (V Park)Our dog, Rex, had a very complex mass in his colon that needed removal. After much research, we decided to trust GSVS with our boy. He ended up having a colon resection, which is considered a major surgery. We had our consult with Dr. Pintar, who came highly recommended. He did not disappoint. He spent time with us reviewing Rex's case, imaging, and medical records and gave us all treatment options and helped us weigh out pros and cons. He is extremely knowledgeable and helped guide us through this scary process. When we ultimately decided to move forward with the surgery, Dr. Pintar helped to facilitate and schedule the surgery with Dr. Park within the practice. Dr. Park is a brilliant surgeon who walks you through what to expect and spends the time to answer any questions you might have. I knew right away Rex would be in great hands with her. Surgery went smoothly and communication was great from Dr. Park. Rex was there for two nights to recover and the staff was always happy to provide us with updates on how he was doing. Dr. Murphy would call us each morning to provide an update and it gave us so much peace of mind. Rex is now 4 weeks post op and doing amazing! Rex means everything to us, and the phenomenal care he received at GSVS impressed us so much! We are so happy he had such a great outcome, and are eternally grateful to the GSVS staff. We highly recommend GSVS for any of your pets needs!
