Geneseo Veterinary Care Reviews
First time patient and it was an emergency visit, technically. They listened to me, as I was crying, and looked my dog over from head to tail. Explained everything in great detail including his diagnosis. The care was thorough and the pricing was explained.Everyone loved on my dog and calmed my nerves as well. They did a phenomenal job and less than 24 hours later my dog showed a huge improvement!Thank you so much for loving on our dog and helping him!~Moose pictured
Feb 02, 2025 · Samantha SankReferral given from prominent veterinarian clinic in the Rochester/ Henrietta area. 'ARK'Becoming my family's dismay and worse regret.First visit:Visit had to be paid upfront -After the physical examination, no evidence for common cause of the abdominal discomfort and not deficating but there are theories to address after blood work. (Few days was needed to cover the lab fee cheaper than the inhouse costs.)Medication: anti nausea & eating encouragement pills(Mirtazapine 1 every'72hours, Maropitant daily pill.)The Second Visit: (following week)During the course of my fur babie's life, I never heard him express pain, not ever! My heart broke twice in one day from this veterinarian office. First from hearing him scream excruciating pain that echoed throughout the facility- was told 'He screamed from taking blood'. Later in conversation she said she failed to produce urine from abdomen compression.... apparently this is a common procedure.. & apparently this is a common procedure when vet and owner know loved one is suffering from liver & or gallbladder shutdown while fur baby was continuing expressions of discomfort in pelvic region ( procedure not given permission to do I must add.). But who really knows what's done as all procedures & tests are done behind closed doors alongside of any miss treatment and injections. The 2nd time my heart broke was when he passed away that night giving that same but brief scream then immediately gave 35-45min attempting resuscitation/ CPR failure - after hours of holding him- my final thoughts were "what did they/ she do to you today?"So it is written in my journal Friday night -May 31st 1 am. -Later in addition to my journal I've added the following:Blood test results were emailed one weekend and two weekdays later.Result documentation included wrong feline species including follow up instructions to eat 'dog food' and lab results I've yet to emotionally research.Phone discussion with vet included her hypothesis of liver/gallbladder and or infections. Infections claimed to have been discussed with medication along with treatment fees. No! we never discussed this was an infection- only jaundice was being caused by the bilirubin (liver/gallbladder)Then and only then we said he passed away. Please make your own decision by reading reviews- you may not get a second chance decision. If I had read this prior my baby boy would not have ever come here!Obit HaiHai Marble aka 10second Tom - flamePoint long Haired Siamese 'not short haired domestic'Mom & Dad love you forever, you were the happiest dumbdumb and miracle to choose us to be your parents thank you and sorry. May you rest in peace sleeping with your favorite blankets, toys and our arms always holding you every night and every morning during coffee time as you loved and told us every minute with purr.12/17-05/25Dad.
Jun 07, 2025 · Mr. FoxHareI have been to several different veterinarians since my longtime vet retired. Dr. Lauren Wisser has demonstrated the care, knowledge sharing and values I have come to expect from a good veterinarian. I am happy to say I have finally found a great doctor for my menagerie.
May 25, 2025 · Vicki StrubleWe just moved to the area and were denied emergent care by all other surrounding hospitals that take exotic pets because we were not already clients. This vet clinic was so helpful in our rabbit’s emergency and they were able to relieve us quickly and get him the care he needed at 930am. We were looking for a vet since moving to the area 2 weeks ago and I think we just found it!! So helpful and the vet is very experienced with rabbits and the office responded well to our emergency. 10/10
Oct 08, 2024 · Marissa HoweDo not trust this vet!! Everything felt very scammy and they hurt the animals! They don't treat them with compassion and care as a vet should. They roughhouse your pets and cause unnecessary pain. Apparently there is only one person on staff, every day. They make you pay online before going, run unnecessary tests, ignore previous veterinarian paperwork, heavily overcharge, dismiss concerns and misdiagnose. They also push consistently for more expensive (and not medically needed in the situation) options and only seem to care about making the bill larger, not the pet better. PLEASE take your pet anywhere else but here!!!!!!!! If you care about your pet, find another place to go. I'd hate for another pet to get improper care due to this horriable vet clinic!
