However, the reviewer also reaffirmed that "the rest of the staff is still wonderful—very friendly & attentive, and it's obvious they love animals." This suggests that the core values of the hospital remain strong and that any less-than-ideal experience may be an isolated incident.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A million Thank Yous would never be enough for the kindness Genoa Animal Hospital showed us in a recent emergency. Our precious cat, Holly, had been battling mammary cancer for almost a year and was approaching that time where we would need to help her cross the rainbow bridge. We had an apt scheduled with our Vet that same day. Holly took a drastic decline, and I knew there was no way she could make the 30 min drive to her vet. In a panic, I searched for the nearest vet and called Genoa. From answering my call to when we left, they went above and beyond to help us. Dr. Brockman and Staff were extremely patient, caring and most importantly – showed our girl nothing but love. They did a full exam and walked us through every step. They made a clay paw print and shaved some of her beautiful calico fur and put it in a glass bottle with a tag that had her name on it. All of this with no notice and for complete strangers. They even sent us a very sweet sympathy card that everyone had signed. I would HIGHLY recommend the team at Genoa Animal Hospital!
July 01 · Christie MillerEdited ⬇️Wow, what a different experience--not sure if it's only a bad day, but from a new doctor, the exam felt like the equivalent of an assembly line. She could have at least scanned over my pet's file, or spent a minute listening to the history so she knew why I was so concerned about certain things? The rest of the staff is still wonderful--very friendly & attentive, and it's obvious they love animals. The entire staff is so kind and compassionate in addition to providing incredible care. They are extremely patient with both nervous pets and pet owners.Cannot recommend them enough 🐈💗🐕(Unfortunately, after my last visit, this statement is no longer true.)
April 12 · Ana GignoskoI have been to many different vets and this one is my favorite. Honest and caring individuals work there. They take time to answer and explain everything. I never felt pressured or rushed out the door. If you love your fur baby like family, you should go to Genoa Animal.
July 31 · J TDr. Sam is so good with our pets. We enjoy going to Genoa Animal Hospital. It’s clean and our pets are well cared for. We completely entrust our fur babies to not only Dr. Sam but the entire staff as well. Everyone clearly loves animals!
August 27 · Michelle PotterIt has been two years since this happened; I have been too upset to write about it. My dog was old and had many medical issues. I called because he was not eating. They set up appt same day. Right when I got in the parking lot he collapsed. I carried him into office and told them he just collapsed. You can easily see he was not good. Instead of immediately getting me in room for privacy, they made me put him on scale to weigh him and hold him in my arms in waiting room until they called me. I sat in waiting room crying as I held him. I had to put him to sleep that day. I've had 4 dogs that have gone to this vet; I will not be using their services again.
