Happy Tails Mobile Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For many pet owners across the Oklahoma City metro area, a trip to the veterinarian can be a significant source of stress, especially for pets who suffer from anxiety in the car or at the clinic. Happy Tails Mobile Veterinary Clinic offers a valuable solution by bringing a full range of professional Veterinarian services directly to your doorstep. This innovative approach to animal health is centered on making routine and essential Medical Care as calm and comfortable as possible for both pets and their families.
The core philosophy of Happy Tails is to provide personalized, high-quality care—from Puppy And Kitten Care to complex Senior Care—in the familiar, safe environment of your home. This is particularly beneficial for pets who are geriatric, have mobility issues, or are naturally fearful, such as the Chihuahua mentioned in a customer review who is "deathly afraid of going to the vet." The experience with Happy Tails, led by Dr. Acton, was noted as being "much easier on both my dog and me," illustrating the undeniable advantage of stress-free, at-home services for routine procedures like exams, shots, and Cleanings.
However, while the convenience and reduced-stress environment of House Calls are a major draw, clients seeking end-of-life services should approach this process with diligence and clear communication. A deeply distressing public account detailed a traumatic experience during a scheduled Hospice And In Home Euthanasia, citing a lack of peacefulness in the procedure and challenging interactions with the attending veterinarian during a highly sensitive time. This review serves as a crucial reminder that while the concept of in-home care is designed for comfort, pet owners should feel fully informed and empowered to pause or question a procedure if it deviates from their expectations for compassionate end-of-life care. Given the gravity of this emotional service, it is paramount for pet owners to discuss the precise procedure for In Home Euthanasia in detail with the clinic beforehand to ensure their final moments with their beloved companion are handled with the utmost respect and gentleness.
Happy Tails Mobile Veterinary Clinic remains committed to delivering a wide spectrum of care for Cats And Dogs, ensuring that from annual Checkups and Vaccinations to more involved needs like Surgery Care and advanced diagnostics, all can be managed through their mobile service model or in coordination with their central operations.
As a Mobile Veterinary service, the primary location of care for Happy Tails is the client's residence throughout the Oklahoma City area. This provides unparalleled convenience, eliminating the need for pet transportation and waiting room anxiety.
The administrative base for the operation is located at: 3224 NW 50th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73112, USA. While most services are rendered via House Calls, this serves as the central point for coordination, Laboratory work, and potentially more intensive procedures that require a clinical setting, although the core value remains the at-home service.
Accessibility features associated with the clinic’s base address, used for coordination and any potential on-site administrative needs, include:
- Wheelchair accessible entrance: Ensures all clients can comfortably access the administrative facility.
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot: Provides convenient parking options for clients with mobility considerations.

Key highlights that define the clinic’s value:
- Stress-Free Veterinary Visits: The primary feature is the ability to conduct routine and essential procedures—like Checkups and Vaccinations—in the home, eliminating the anxiety associated with car rides, transport carriers, and clinic waiting rooms for nervous Cats And Dogs.
- Personalized, Unrushed Attention: In-home visits often allow the veterinarian, Dr. Acton, more focused time with the pet and owner. As one client noted, the experience involved the vet taking her "time, answered all of my questions, and gave good care," enhancing client education and trust.
- In-Home Euthanasia: Offering Hospice And In Home Euthanasia and Private & Non Private Cremation Services is a deeply valued service for many families, providing a peaceful, familiar environment for a pet’s final moments, though clients must communicate clear expectations for the procedure beforehand.
- Full-Service Mobile Capabilities: The service is not limited to simple exams; it includes Dental Care For Your Pet, Surgery Care (often coordinated), and full Laboratory work, demonstrating a high degree of clinical capability delivered on the go.

For Oklahoma City residents, choosing Happy Tails Mobile Veterinary Clinic is a decision rooted in prioritizing convenience and, most importantly, the comfort of your pet. The primary advantage is the mobile model, which eliminates the stress and fear many Cats And Dogs associate with clinic visits, making routine Checkups, Vaccinations, and even Dental Care a significantly calmer process for the entire family. Dr. Acton and the team are credited with providing thorough, personalized, and patient care, taking the time to educate owners and provide high-quality Medical Care at home. Happy Tails Mobile Veterinary Clinic Reviews
- Dr. Acton was great! I have a Chihuahua that is deathly afraid of going to the vet. Because Dr. Acton came to my house, my girl didn't get near as upset as she does putting her in a car then waiting in the waiting room at a vet's office. The experience was much easier on both my dog and me!She cleaned both of my girls' teeth, updated their shots, and gave them a good thorough exam. I feel like she took her time, answered all of my questions, and gave good care. I will definitely use her again, and recommend her to anyone who has a dog that is scared of a vet's office! - This morning, my husband, daughter and I went through a very traumatic experience with this vet.I share this review hoping this had no chance of happening to you are your pet.We waited through the weekend knowing that this morning we would be holding our beloved Yorkie/Silky mix for the last time. He was suffering terribly. We scheduled the only mobile vet available today...the crematorium gave is her name.My hopes were that he would go to sleep peacefully as we held him. But, that's not at all what happened. She put him through hell on his way out of this world and when I defended him, she told me off.Every other vet that has treated him has remarked to my husband what a model patient he is. He's been injected numbers of times, and he took it like a trooper. There was nothing peaceful about what she did to him. He went through three injections. I didn't think that sounded right, but I'd never done this before. She said the first one was a muscle relaxer.Trustingly he sat still while she pushed that needle into him and left it in there, until he whimpered loudly and tried to get loose from her, while she attempted to hold on to him. This isn't what I've had described to me by others who have done this. I told her, this is not what I wanted for him. And to stop. But she says it was done. We thought there is no turning back from here, so she asked if we wanted her to go on. My daughter had bought him some ice cream. She told us she would give him the next injection and he could eat it while it took affect. So we gave it to him. As he ate, it was very cute, but then he began to choke. He couldn't breath. His tongue has thickened. It was horrifying! It took forever for him to settle as I tried to open his mouth so he could breath. Then when he was finally almost gone she put a needle into his heart and stopped it. His eyes were open. They never closed.I was distraught. She was going to take him. But my daughter said she would take him to the crematorium. I was so thankful for her. My husband was civil to her as she left.I feel that no one should trust her with their pet even when their life is ending. My beautiful patient, innocent, trusting little man was made to feel a lot of distress and pain. We trusted this woman! I pray no one else has to suffer the memory I will not ever be able to forget. At all cost, avoid using this vet. June 25 · smerrihew
- She came to euthanize my cat. She had cancer and was in a lot of pain. I thought passing at home might be more calming. I understand being professional and separating herself from the heartache. She was late, and seemed rushed the whole time. The first shot stressed my cat out a lot. She lost control of her body and got scared. This woman grabbed my cat by her back fur, put a blanket over her head and held her shoulders down to give her the second shot. Kitty was terrified. She yelled at me when she lost control of the situation. It was a terrible experience. Medical professional had no compassion. February 09 · lisa benton
- I had to put down my best friend. She was able to come over the same day I called. She was very kind and gentle with both him and us. She gave as much time as we liked with him. She even took care of a problem with my other dog for free. This is regarding one of the negative reviews below. You said on the phone, she said she "would have to fit you in." That means she is doing you a favor and will be in a hurry. So I don't understand why you are complaining about her being in a rush when she told you that she would be. If you didn't want to be rushed you should have called someone else out or had her come a different day. Please consider just regarding this negative review. February 08 · SeaPeoplesDidNothingWrong
- This woman is terrible! She left her dogs in 100 degree heat in the garage while on vacation and her dog died from heat. Another time we had to rescue her dog from a flooded backyard. She is horrible and neglects her own dogs so I would not trust her with any animals! She should be in prison! December 11 · Natalie Taylor
