Heartland Veterinary Clinic operates as a comprehensive primary care veterinary practice, equipped to provide a wide array of essential services for the well-being of dogs, cats, and other common companion animals. With multiple experienced veterinarians on staff, they are well-positioned to handle diverse healthcare needs. While an exhaustive list of every specific service is not publicly detailed, a clinic praised for its "top notch vets" and "great" vet techs typically offers:
Routine Wellness Examinations: These annual or semi-annual check-ups are foundational for preventative health. They involve a thorough physical examination, assessment of overall health, and discussion of any concerns. Regular exams help detect potential issues early, leading to more effective and less invasive treatments.
Vaccinations: Tailored vaccination protocols are developed for each pet based on their age, lifestyle, and exposure risk, providing crucial protection against common and dangerous infectious diseases.
Parasite Prevention and Control: Comprehensive programs to prevent and treat internal and external parasites, including heartworms, fleas, ticks, and intestinal worms, are essential for both pet health and public health.
Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose illnesses and injuries, the clinic utilizes in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams) and likely imaging services such as X-rays (radiography). These tools provide quick insights into a pet's internal health.
General Surgery: Common surgical procedures, such as spaying, neutering, mass removals, and minor soft tissue surgeries, are typically performed with a focus on patient safety, pain management, and attentive post-operative care.
Dental Care: Professional dental cleanings (under anesthesia), dental X-rays, and extractions are often available to prevent painful periodontal disease and maintain overall oral health, which significantly impacts a pet's quality of life.
Nutritional Counseling: Guidance on appropriate diets and feeding plans for pets of all ages, breeds, and health conditions, promoting optimal weight and general well-being.
Microchipping: A simple, effective, and permanent method of identification that vastly increases the chances of being reunited with a lost pet.
Management of Chronic Conditions: Providing ongoing care and developing treatment plans for pets with long-term health issues like diabetes, arthritis, kidney disease, or allergies.
Urgent Care / Same-Day Appointments: As indicated by reviews, they "always do their best to work us into the schedule quickly!" for urgent needs, which is invaluable when unexpected health issues arise.
Heartland Veterinary Clinic stands out for several key features and highlights, as consistently praised by their loyal customer base:
Highly Caring and Compassionate Vets: Clients repeatedly praise the veterinarians for being "super caring." Reviews highlight their gentle approach, ensuring pets feel comfortable during visits. This compassionate touch is paramount, especially for anxious animals.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I wouldn’t take our animals anywhere else! I’ve only had great experiences with everyone there over the past 5 years. The vets are super caring, and always do their best to work us into the schedule quickly!
June 24 · Allison BuddI have been taking my pets to Heartland Vet Clinic for over 20 years. Both Dr Arneson and Dr Hunt are great. Today one of my dogs had an annual visit with Dr Moser. This was my first visit with him and it was a wonderful experience. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. I can honestly say there is not a better vet clinic in town. They have 3 top notch vets on staff and the vet techs are great too. Thank you Heartland for taking such great care of my babies.
May 05 · Jill CI’ve been bringing my furry friends to Heartland for years, and I’ve never had a single negative experience. They truly prioritize your pet’s well-being and care. Dr. Hunt and her team have been incredible to work with. Let’s be honest, no one enjoys taking their pet to the vet, but when I do, I’m so glad it’s Heartland.
May 03 · Dustin AtkinsI cannot say enough good things about this clinic. Every single person who works here is so friendly, thoughtful, patient, caring, and kind. Dr. Moser is incredibly thorough, great with our old man, and takes his time with exams, questions/education, follow up calls, you name it.The clinic is very clean and has no pet smell, if that matters to you. The prices are also super reasonable. If I could give Heartland Veterinary Clinic 1,000 stars, I would! This was the 3rd vet since we moved here, and I know it's our vet for life.
March 24 · Emily TrippettI took my cat to get checked out because he was throwing up . The doctor had told me it’s probably something he’s allergic & recommending to give him 2 shots, so I told him to give my cat the shot to feel better , a week later my poor baby gotten worst after the shots he got. He wasn’t eating , drinking , gotten weak. Couldn’t move or anything ! He sadly had passed away on Sunday .Don’t get me wrong the doctor was nice but it’s the fact how I try contact them what shot did they give my cat that made my cat pass away a week later , but they wouldn’t tell me
