Heritage Animal Hospital Reviews
Every member of the staff here has earned five stars from me. This vet office is so good at caring for our cats. They saved one of their lives. My cats have had a litany of health issues, so I've been here a lot over the last years, and every single appointment has been a good one. They are through, knowledgeable, caring, and efficient. There is never a long wait, and when we have had emergencies they've been able to squeeze us in. They never rush through appointments and have gone above and beyond, they aren't just there for a pay check. I highly recommend this office!
Dec 30, 2024 · Dominic Giglio-TosWe take our animals here for their care. The vets and techs are always so caring. This most recent visit was to have an older cat looked at. They diagnosed her quickly and with care. She had to be euthanized and it was handled with compassion and grace. I got to spend time with her before saying goodbye. The procedure was completed kindly. They put a blanket for her to rest on. They have many options for cremation and final resting place. They also do paw prints in clay.
Dec 26, 2023 · Jim MillerSubject: Disappointing Experience with Veterinary CareDear Heritage Veterinary HospitalI wanted to share my recent experience with your practice, as it has left me quite disappointed. My family and I relocated to the area and chose your practice for our dog’s care, hoping to find a reliable provider. However, after a recent interaction, I regret not continuing the 25-minute drive to our previous veterinary office. We visited in October for a wellness exam and to establish care for my dog, who requires regular allergy injections every 1 to 4 months. In my previous experience with other veterinary practices, these subsequent injections have always been administered by a veterinary technician after the initial vet visit.Recently, I called to schedule an injection appointment, 4 months after our initial visit. The receptionist, while polite, informed me that the appointment would need to be with a veterinarian, which would make it more expensive. I asked if I could speak with the vet to discuss this, given that we had been seen just a few months prior and that the injection is part of an ongoing treatment for my dog’s chronic allergy issues. She mentioned she would make a note and have the vet contact me, though likely not the same day.Later that day, I received another call from what appeared to be an administrative staff member, reiterating that the visit would require a vet. When I inquired further, I was told that because my dog had only been seen once, the vet needed to reassess him before transitioning to technician-administered injections. I expressed my disagreement, explaining that the number of visits should not dictate the need for a vet visit but should be based on the pet’s individual needs and health status. I was then told that the vet needed to reassess my dog’s heart, lungs, and skin, which I felt was unnecessary, as no new health concerns had arisen since our last visit, and the only issue was his ongoing allergy symptoms. To my surprise, after I pushed back, the staff member became dismissive and rude, stating that the vet would likely not offer any new perspective but could call me if I wished. This comment felt particularly unprofessional and lacked the compassion I expected from a veterinary practice. As of today, five days after my request to speak with the vet, I have still not received a follow-up. This delay and lack of communication make me feel that my concerns are neither prioritized nor valued. It is particularly disappointing given that I was simply seeking clarification and a reasonable solution for an ongoing treatment, rather than unnecessary, costly visits. As a military family that has moved frequently, we’ve had many interactions with veterinary practices across the U.S., and I have never felt so dismissed by a request to communicate with a veterinarian. I believe that veterinary care, like all healthcare, should be tailored to each pet's specific needs, rather than following a rigid protocol. While I typically avoid leaving negative reviews, I felt compelled to share this experience in the hopes that others in similar situations may consider other options in the area. My expectations for professionalism, communication, client autonomy and compassion were not met, and I hope that this feedback can help improve your practice’s approach to client care.
Feb 25, 2025 · Megan KaretaNew to the area and it’s been tough to find a vet we’ve felt good about. However, Heritage changed that entirely and we’ve found our new vet.Every staff we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable and straight to the point.Dr. Jaeger treated us with care and made our pup at ease. She listened and provided service at a high level. The cherry on top was leaving out of there with a much smaller bill than expected. Thanks team
Dec 18, 2024 · TishI’m always pleased with the care my animals receive from compassionate and knowledgeable techs and doctors. They are transparent with pricing and ensure I’m aware of available options whether it’s for prescriptions or procedures. My millennial heart loves that they’ve started to use text messaging to follow up. After my dog was neutered here in April, they reached out to check on him and I loved that I could even text back. Shout out to the front desk receptionists who have always been kind- even on a recent day when we had an emergency and I called probably 6 or 7 times over the course of the day. She never once sounded annoyed or tired of my questions… and I’d be surprised if she wasn’t. I was super anxious and stressed out and her kindness was much appreciated.
