The hospital provides a wide spectrum of veterinary services designed to meet the diverse needs of your pets throughout every stage of their lives. These services are delivered with expertise and a deep commitment to animal welfare.
- Wellness and Preventive Care: Routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control (fleas, ticks, and heartworm prevention), and nutritional counseling are foundational services aimed at preventing illness and maintaining long-term health. Regular wellness exams allow the veterinary team to detect potential health issues early, often leading to more effective treatment outcomes.
- Diagnostic Services: The ability to accurately diagnose a pet's condition is crucial for effective treatment. The hospital is equipped with diagnostic tools such as in-house laboratory services for blood work, urinalysis, and other tests, as well as digital radiography (X-rays) to get a clear picture of a pet’s internal health.
- Surgical Procedures: A variety of surgical services are offered, ranging from routine spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries. The surgical suite is equipped with modern monitoring equipment to ensure the safety and comfort of pets during their procedures.
- Dental Care: Dental health is a critical component of a pet's overall well-being. Services include professional cleanings, extractions, and guidance on at-home dental care to prevent periodontal disease and other oral health problems.
- Emergency Care: While the hospital operates during standard business hours, they are prepared to handle urgent pet health situations as they arise during those times.
- Microchipping: This simple procedure provides a permanent form of identification for your pet, significantly increasing the chances of being reunited with them should they ever become lost.
- Pain Management: The veterinary team is skilled in assessing and managing pain in animals, a crucial aspect of both post-operative care and treatment for chronic conditions like arthritis.
- Senior Pet Care: As pets age, their healthcare needs change. The hospital offers specialized care plans for senior pets, focusing on managing age-related conditions and ensuring their comfort and quality of life.

August 25 · Mallory SwitzerFabulous customer service! We were not made to wait any longer then our appointment was scheduled for! They were able to get my dog in for an appointment the next day when I called for the appointment! && we love both Dr. Richardsons, very professional!
July 11 · Robyn HornFirst time there for my registered dog having gut problems. Dr. prescribed a medication to control the problems she had. A very good experience with the doctor and staff. Took my girl to Athens Hospital and was diagnosed with a small intestine being damaged. Surgery went well, and I am waiting for more post pardom results. I can't down this doctor for trying his best when a second opinion always counts elsewhere.
September 20 · Dalverto FrancoAmazing work and care for all our animals. These folks are stellar with everything they do. Would highly recommend.
