Hospital For Veterinary Surgery Reviews
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Raske, Dr. Leviy, Dr. Greg, Dr. Akari, and the entire team. Although I am devastated by the loss of my beloved cat, Morpheus, who passed away a week and a day after his surgery, I am profoundly thankful for the exceptional care he received while in their hands.Morpheus was 15 years old and had hypothyroidism, yet despite his age and condition, the team approached his surgery and recovery with such compassion and diligence. When he was found to have an obstruction in his intestine, they performed the surgery with incredible skill and care, gently removing the blockage. I truly believe they gave him the best possible chance to recover.Throughout the entire process, the team's dedication was unwavering. They called me multiple times a day, answered every email promptly, and continuously provided updates, even sending photos to reassure me. It was clear that they genuinely cared about Morpheus and went out of their way to keep me informed and comforted during such a difficult time.Although they recommended that Morpheus remain in the hospital for continued care, my financial situation made it impossible to keep him there. Despite this, the team continued to check in on us after we brought him home, offering guidance and support at every step. Their kindness did not stop when he left the hospital.I am heartbroken that Morpheus is no longer with me, but I take comfort in knowing he was in the best hands during his most vulnerable moments. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who played a part in his care. Your compassion, dedication, and empathy made all the difference.I'm glad that Morpheus had the best team of professionals in his circle. We all rooted for him!I wrote this review Friday night, Saturday morning I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers in memory of my sweet Morpheus. I am thankful to the whole team daily. I recommend this place with all of my heart. This is the MOST compassionate veterinary hospital I have EVER been to in my life. I pray that each member stays blessed for the rest of their lives.
Mar 30, 2025 · J SAbsolutely 5 ⭐️ experience from top to bottom. Our girl needed tumor removal and they were able to squeeze her in for surgery just a few days after her diagnosis. The process was kind, seamless, and her surgery went extremely well. They answered all my post-op questions quickly and made us feel reassured. Our girl is now cancer-free!
May 14, 2025 · Rachel FinleyI took my Frenchie, Theo, to HVS for BOAS surgery. Dr. Raske was recommended by two different vets and I can certainly see why. We are now a little over two weeks post-op and Theo is doing very well. I was nervous about the whole process, as this was Theo's first surgery (outside of neutering). That being said, the team at HVS put me at ease with their expert knowledge and professionalism. Everyone I met from the team was extremely kind and caring toward both Theo and me. When I brought Theo home after surgery and had some concerns, they were incredibly responsive and helpful in making sure he was doing okay. When he stayed there overnight after the surgery, I received several updates and photos from the team. When we had to go back for follow-ups, Theo was never resistant to go into the hospital to see his team, so I know he had great care. In sum, I hope your pet doesn't need surgery, but if they do, I couldn't recommend Dr. Raske and his team more. THANK YOU!!!
Apr 03, 2025 · Katherine McCallThe office was very well run - they clearly explained the cruciate ligament surgery to us in depth as well as what to expect and do afterwards. The office sent us photos of Annie just a few hours after the surgery so we could see she was doing well - that was very helpful. Annie has been making steady progress over the past 3 weeks since the surgery, and I expect her to be as good as new. We sought out Dr. Raske on my brother's recommendation, and I'm very glad we were able to have him do the surgery. Here is one of the photos from the same evening as the surgery:
Feb 03, 2025 · Neal WolkoffI have a Bernese mountain dog by the name of Jaxx who was injured and needed a hip replacement at 5 months old. Due to a blotched hip replacement at another facility in Long Island and spending $$$. My dog was in pain due to an infection because of a horrible implants surgery and suffered for months. Jaxx was in pain and was not using his leg at all as a result he lost muscle mass in the leg. I searched long and hard and found Dr Raske, a life saver. Dr Raske explained everything in details about what he was going to do. He removed the implants due to the infection.Jaxx stayed 2 nights they video called me and gave updates throughout the night. There was a nurse at night who gave updates as requested. They emailed me photos of him during the 2 days he stayed recovering from his procedure. Jaxx is doing much better. He does not require anymore surgeries at this time. He is just enjoying his life. He has resumed all actives today. Thank you Dr. Raske and your team. 🙏
