Iron Range Veterinary Clinic distinguishes itself through its comprehensive service model, but a review from a dissatisfied customer highlights a key point of contention. The review details a frustrating experience where a long-time client was denied a single dose of heartworm prevention medication before their scheduled appointment, leading to a breakdown in trust and a loss of their business. This story, while a powerful negative testimonial, underscores a critical aspect of client relationships: the balance between clinic policy and customer care. The client's frustration over perceived rudeness and a lack of loyalty, particularly given their long-standing relationship with the clinic, shows how vital communication and flexibility are in the veterinary field. The review contrasts this experience with a different clinic's willingness to help, which restored the client's faith in "common sense." On the other hand, the positive review speaks to a high level of satisfaction, simply stating the clinic "handled my cat very well" and mentioning a nearby landmark, which suggests a quick and easy visit for a simple matter. This conflicting feedback points to a complex reality: while the clinic offers a vast array of services, the customer experience can vary, and strong, empathetic communication is paramount. While the clinic’s extensive offerings and accessibility are highlights, the negative review serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of client relations and the emotional connection pet owners have to their animals’ health. It emphasizes that for many, a caring and understanding approach is just as important as the medical services provided.
For any inquiries or to schedule an appointment, you can reach Iron Range Veterinary Clinic at their main phone number: **(218) 546-5470**. For mobile users, the number is **+1 218-546-5470**. Choosing a veterinary clinic is a deeply personal decision, and what makes Iron Range Veterinary Clinic a viable choice is its extensive range of services and its commitment to serving both small animal companions and large equine patients. For residents in the Brainerd Lakes region, having a local clinic that can manage everything from routine dental cleanings to complex orthopedic surgeries and emergency care is a significant advantage. The clinic's investment in advanced diagnostic tools like digital radiology and ultrasound means they can provide a high standard of medical care without the need for clients to travel to a distant specialist. Furthermore, the convenience of both an in-house and an online pharmacy streamlines the process of obtaining necessary medications. However, the client reviews highlight that the value of this clinic is not just in its services, but also in the human element of the care. While the negative review points to a potential issue with customer service, it also reveals that the clinic’s care—or lack thereof—is taken very personally by clients, which is a testament to the emotional bond between people and their pets. For those who prioritize a full-service facility with modern capabilities and are willing to work within the clinic’s policies, Iron Range Veterinary Clinic offers a comprehensive solution for their animal healthcare needs. It's a place equipped to handle a wide range of medical challenges, providing a valuable local resource for the Minnesota community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I'm so glad I made the trip. The handled my cat very well. Awesome old Growth Log next door:)
June 19 · ENMZIN USASooooo disappointed 😞 We've been a loyal customer for 5 years. We trusted this clinic with our dog and cats. We have spent thousands of dollars over the past years. I called to set up the annual "wellness" exam for our dog so we could renew his Bravecto and Interceptor. We couldn't get in until the 18th of the month. They told me that I could pick up the Bravecto before the 1st of the month to keep him up to date since the appointment was 18 days out. We live a little over an hour away, which isn't a huge deal because we always thought the Crosby clinic cared the most for thier clients and more importantly the health of our pets. So long story short, I drove the clinic to pick up our dogs meds. To be fair, the reception lady told me before hand that they would not be able to sell us the Interceptor until after his appointment on the 18th. I figured the vet knew whats best for our dog. We give our dog Interceptor all year round on the 1st of the month for heart worm and parasites (he is always drinking out of puddles and ditches when we run him. More importantly, this is prime mosquitoe season) When I arrived at the clinic I met the nicest receptionist and asked her if it would be okay to purchase the Interceptor, take only one of the doses and leave the 5 other doses behind until I come back on the 18th for the Wellness exam. This way there isn't an 18 day gap of protection for our dog. She said that made sense but she'd have to talk to the vet because she couldn't make that decision. After waiting 15 minutes, a technician came out and I explained the purchase 1 dose of Interceptor and leave the other 5 doses behind until the exam 18 days from now. She said a hard "No." I asked her if my dog will be at risk holding off his dose for 18 days. She said "Yes." I told her how absurd this was. She was nothing other than rude and clearly on a power trip. I then asked to talk to a vet that was in charge. She said, NO. I told her that we've been loyal customers for 5 years and I that I've earned the right to talk to a vet. She said nope, but that she'd have one call me (surprise surprise, no one called) Dumbfounded, I said, "So you want to drive an hour home, wait for the vet to call and approve the Interceptor, then drive another hour back to pick up the 1 dose of Interceptor, then turn around and drive another hour home. All she said was, "yep, that's what you will have to do." I asked her 1 more time to go and get the vet and she with a smirk, "nope, the vet is busy." Apparently, this clinic has absolutely NO loyalty to the long standing clients, and more importantly the lack of care for our pets health. Needless to say, I told her to cancel our appointment and that I will never set foot in their clinics again. The best part of this novel is that I called to set up an appointment for our dog with a new Vet Clinic. However, they said the soonest they could see our dog for an annual exam was 4 weeks out! My heart sank, I told the new Vet Clinic that I'd have to see if I could find another place to bring our dog since he has to have the Interceptor by the 1st. Guess what they said - Bring in his records to show that he's currently prescribed on it and that they will renew it since he's now scheduled with them 4 weeks from now. It's so nice to see that there is still people with common sense - Apparently, Crosby forgot what common sense is as well as loyalty to their clients and pets! I already picked up a dose of Interceptor at the new Vet Clinic - on top of that, the new vet is only a half hour away! Goodbye Iron Range Veternairy Clinic. If I were you - I'd fire the heavy set technician with long hair, she has about the same customer service experience as a corpse.
