Kensington Bird & Animal Hospital Reviews
Kensington Bird and Animal Hospital is the beat exotic vet in the State of CT. I own A Shedding Chance Reptile Rescue Inc. where Dr. Bloom (Mrs) always gives our rescues the best care they deserve. Reptiles are difficult to find qualified vets for, however, Dr. Bloom made the whole process easy. And not even that, When Dr. Bloom is off, Dr. Sinclair steps in and does just as amazing work. Dr. Sinclair has seen my personal pet rats and spoils them at every appointment. The office staff is friendly, hardworking, and cares deeply about their patients. There care is the best in the state of CT, especially for Birds, Small Mammals, and Reptiles (and only because I have those animals, but I’m more than positive their cats and dog care is held to the same standard). THANK YOU KBAH!!!!!
Apr 01, 2025 · Amanda ColerI can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for Dr. Allison Bloom and her dedication to saving my cat's life. Little peepin (oreo) was days away from losing his life when Dr. Bloom was able to make a diagnosis of FIP and was able to quickly start him on a treatment needed to save his life. He is literally back to the little brat he was before this scary incident and only 4 weeks into treatment! He is 100% back to normal when only just weeks ago, he was too weak to eat or move. There is no way we could have gotten him through it if it weren't for Dr. Bloom. She took the time to consult with specialists and really went above and beyond to save my baby boys life before it was too late. After coming so close to losing him, I can't express how grateful I am for Dr. Bloom. Because of her dedication, his life did not end prematurely, and he is able to continue his little meows, which I miss very dearly. My little buddy brings joy to my life, and I can not imagine him. Again, I want to thank Dr. Allison Bloom and the rest of the team!
Apr 07, 2025 · Mernes HuricIn the past 6 months I have brought in my turtle and bunny for serious issues. We are new to the area and reached out to KBAH for support and have not been disappointed. The care that Dr. Bloom and Dr. Sinclair show during their exams and the great care that the techs gave my pets is unparalleled. We will continue to bring our pets here and I highly recommend this practice to all other animal parents. Everyone you meet from reception, to techs, to doctors are kind and compassionate. Thank you all from my family and especially from Luna and Rocky 💜
Apr 10, 2025 · Samantha HigleyI am so grateful to have found such a dedicated and knowledgeable exotic vet who truly cares for my reptiles. From the moment I walk in, I know my pets are in good hands with Dr. Bloom and staff. The vet and their team take the time to thoroughly assess each of my reptiles, offering personalized care and advice tailored to their specific needs. Whether it's a routine check-up or an emergency, they always make sure I understand the process and feel confident in the care my pets are receiving. It's clear that they have a deep passion for exotic animals, and it shines through in their expertise and compassionate approach. I couldn't ask for a better vet for my reptiles, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for amazing care for their exotic pets! 💜
Apr 01, 2025 · Lindsey RicherMy Gimli has had 2 procedures done here since the start of the year: a cyst removal and a dental procedure. I was impressed both times with the level of detail and care provided by Dr. Bloom and her team. He had a delayed recovery post-anesthesia both times (through no fault of the staff here, my Gimli’s just a stubborn boy) but the staff was close to monitor him and make sure he was ok before he sent him home with us. The dental procedure was last week and he started making great progress but then a new issue popped (unrelated to the procedure). Hearing him squeak in discomfort was so heartbreaking to hear but the team squeezed me in as an emergency same day to make sure he was ok. He is on the mend now. I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and we truly appreciate the care and compassion the staff has shown us.
