Kingdom Animal Hospital is distinguished by several remarkable features and highlights, consistently praised by its clients, which underscore its commitment to compassionate and comprehensive veterinary care in Vermont.
Exceptional Compassion and Respect: A recurring theme in client testimonials is the profound empathy and respect shown by Dr. Bill and the entire staff, especially during difficult times. The review detailing the euthanasia of a geriatric ragdoll cat highlights their "comforting and professional" approach and their genuine willingness to "ask and suggest anything they could do to save her." This demonstrates a deep care that extends beyond medical procedures to the emotional well-being of both pet and owner.
Thoughtful End-of-Life Process: The clinic provides a "special process" for euthanasia, ensuring a "very peaceful and painless passing." The gesture of making a "small paw print in clay" and suggesting pet remains be "donated to rebuild coral reefs" (an uncommon, compassionate, and environmentally conscious option) speaks volumes about their dedication to honoring the pet's memory and supporting grieving families.
Reasonably Priced and Budget-Conscious: One client noted that the services were "reasonably priced," which is a crucial factor for many pet owners. This suggests a commitment to providing quality care without imposing excessive financial burden, making veterinary services accessible.
Accommodating for Urgent Cases: The hospital's willingness to see a dog when the owner's "regular vet wasn't open" highlights their responsiveness and commitment to providing timely care, even for non-regular patients, during critical moments.
No Pressure for Additional Services: Despite suggesting an "additional vaccination" for an outdoor pet, the clinic "do not pressure patients." This indicates a professional and ethical approach, providing information and recommendations without coercing owners into unnecessary procedures.
High Regard for Staff and Veterinarians: Clients consistently praise the "very best care always" and express happiness with Dr. Bill and the entire staff, indicating a cohesive team dedicated to animal welfare.
Potential for Pet Comfort (though with a caveat): While one review noted a preference for being present with their pet during visits (a practice that varied during COVID-19), the overall sentiment from other reviews often points to pets being treated gently and compassionately, which contributes to their comfort during procedures, even if owners are not physically present.

Kingdom Animal Hospital Reviews
Our very gentle geriatric ragdoll cat and precious golden puppy from Wrights were treated with the very best care always. They suggested an additional vaccination which I found is important for outdoor pets, but they do not pressure patients. I brought our Toots for euthanasia which was such a special process, devastating for me, but Dr. Bill and staff were so comforting and even asked and suggested anything they could do to save her. They made a small paw print in clay for us and her remains were donated to rebuild coral reefs. It was a very peaceful and painless passing.
May 08, 2025 · Britt MeiningerI am forever grateful to Kingdom Animal Hospital for seeing my dog when my regular vet wasn't open. They took very good care of him and were reasonably priced. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they don't let you go in with your pet. My vet was doing that as well when covid broke out, but since then we have been able to go in with him.
May 18, 2025 · Lisa HinksonWe have 2older dogs and a new puppy our recent visit was with the puppy for the first time our sully is very timid and allowed both the doctor and her assistant to come close to touch him with no pulling away
Jan 11, 2025 · Cheryl SpillaneHave had 2 really wonderful experiences at Kingdom Animal Hospital. Everyone is over the top friendly and super patient with our dogs. We are so lucky to have them in our tiny corner of the Northeast Kingdom.
Apr 16, 2025 · Cindy RoddEveryone at Kingdom is phenomenal! Dr. Teehan is the absolute best veterinarian that I’ve encountered in almost 13 years. My dog hated the vet, until Dr. Teehan. Lily literally rolls over and asks for belly rubs upon entering. Dr. Teehan has been instrumental in navigating Lily’s ongoing allergies and injuries. The team is always incredibly responsive. Also, the facility is top notch, inviting, and clean!
