★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr Cari and staff are amazing. They care about the animals that they treat. Dr Cari is very thorough and gentle. We have a German Shepard that doesn’t like anyone and Dr Cari was her new best friend. We love taking our animals there, very impressive and we wouldn’t go anywhere else.
July 10 · Stacy FranzenFriendly, compassionate staff who go the extra mile for our fur babies! We wouldn’t take them anywhere else.
August 08 · Denise MillerDON'T TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!I took my 5-year-old fox terrier. Trooper to them, to have his teeth cleaned. I was asked if they had permission to pull any teeth if needed. I said no, call me first. I missed a call from them so they left a message. When I returned the call. I was informed by Cari that she had pulled 18 of his teeth without permission, I was very upset. Cari said that she used her professional opinion to pull the teeth and she would show me the x-rays when I came to pick him up. When I went to pick trooper up, she did not talk to me but had an assistant talk to me, who didn't have a clue why Cari pulled his teeth.I was then handed a bill for $593.35. $300 for cleaning his teeth. Really? You're gonna pull 18 teeth, so you decide to clean them first once again, she did not have my permission to pull his teeth. I turned Carrie into the state of Wisconsin veterinary examining board. They found her guilty on 4 counts of engaging in unprofessional conduct. Cari got caught lying on 2 of her responses to the examining board. To be clear, Sally was always my vet and always did a great job but she retiredTrooper is a young dog and did not have any teeth that needed pulling. They just needed cleaning. His quality of life will never be the same as it was. His tongue hangs out all time now because of this, he struggles with breathing, struggles with chewing and can't defend himself if needed. I believe Cari is in it only for the money and not the well-being of our pets.
February 28 · max drewDr. Cari Schaffer always goes above and beyond for my cat, and I always know that I can trust Lancaster Veterinary Clinic!! My cat recently needed a dental cleaning done, and the entire staff here was very thorough and made sure I was fully educated on the dental procedures my cat may be given, and they made sure I was aware that even if I don’t see visible cavities, some teeth may be compromised below the gums (visible on x-rays) for many cats and dogs. When the day of her dental visit came, I was happy to pick my cat, Pedra, up knowing that they did what was necessary and removed 3 teeth, and knowing that she will have a better quality of life without any broken or decayed teeth to cause her pain and discomfort. Through the whole process, Lancaster veterinary clinic could not have been more clear or helpful in explaining to me what work my cat had done, and thoroughly explained her aftercare instructions. I was very gratefulthat the staff was able to remove Pedras compromised teeth during the cleaning instead of putting her through unnecessary stress that would have been caused by going under anesthesia multiple times :) I was also shocked by how affordable Pedras visit was, considering everything they did for my pet and the amazing hospitality and experience that the entire staff has! Cari is always very prompt to answer any questions or concerns I have with my cat, and it really shows that she cares a lot about her patients ❤️
March 02 · serena bouzekAll they care about is money took my dog in to get her stitches put back in because she got her cone off and chewed them out and they denied her because we couldn't pay them from the first time yet I had told them what was going on on why I couldn't pay them but all I got was the same reply no payment no treatment animals deserve the same priority care as a human being I don't care who you think you are to top it off one other time I took her in because she hurt her tail they wanted to dock it based off of how it looks they didn't wanna do an X-ray or nothing. If I hadn't demanded they do an X-ray my dog would have lost her tail for no reason just for a sprain whatever you do do not take you animals here because they don't care.
