★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Great people. My kitten was takin such good care of when she got spayed not only that but everyone is very friendly and I’m so grateful. Thank you everyone. These are the best Vets and Techs. in Cedar Rapids and Marion, I don’t care what anyone says the Vet. Techs and Veterinarian there are by the the best I’ve ever seen. Friendly, knowledgeable and I trust each and every one of them. They take special care of our newest cat we got about a year ago as well. If I could give more stars I would. May 26 · B G
- Not taking any new clients 3/31/2025 but we have heard great things about this veterinarian. March 31 · Matthew Gurnsey
- I have several pets and I used to take all my pets here, but then I found out they are really overpriced and uncaring in treatment options. July 03 · Ranjit Nair
- I have some mixed feelings but generally feel good no nonsense care is offered. The staff is very kind to people. They seem more dog lovers and cat tolerators but my friend has cats and thinks they are fine so ? My experience is that the tech tries to scare the cat with dog urine or putting it near water to get it to stop purring so they can hear the heart. Cats purr when happy but also when stressed. I get that they need to hear the heart as part of routine exam but no one else has had to do that elsewhere. It seems wrong to make a cat's potential fear of water or dogs worse than it may already be. Take the cat's temp first and they will likely stop purring long enough to hear the heart or wait a bit. At a gut level that just felt "wrong" as a fur parent trying to assure cat the vet is nice place. They also seem quick to write off cats compared to dogs, I think-- reminds me of farm mentality my relatives have where dogs are highly valued and cats are sort of not worth as much bc dime a dozen. So just quicker to maybe say "time to put cat down " than they would with dog.But having said that-- I have never found fault with their diagnosis or prescriptions for cats. They are accurate from what I can tell. They did have us on meds for heart and didn't tell us or didn't know it can cause blood clots if not simultaneously on blood thinners. They didn't have us on the thinners-- maybe bc cat, bc old or bc didn't know? Hard to say but knowing that might have given us longer with that cat as I think it died from blood clots or embolism given style of death but again, hard to say as no autopsy done. Maybe their demeanor of less commitment to cats just makes it harder to trust they are doing ALL they can for cats?So in general they seem competent if not "into" cats. They have one "cat vet" whom my friend used but she is retiring or working part time last I heard and is never available anymore and Bock is definitely a dog person. So I hope they hire a new cat person who teaches techs to not add stress to cat visit to perform procedures. It's a nice honey environment. Their pricing seems fair. The front desk staff is nice to customers and vets are kind to customers. December 18 · Girls House F
- We started taking our cats to Dr. Ryan Bock as soon as he opened the practice. We have consistently received top quality medical care for our cats, as well as incredible kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, and compassion for our cats and for "their people." When times are hard, Dr. Bock is exceptionally supportive and understanding. I can unequivocally recommend Dr. Bock to anyone who wants to take their pets to an amazing vet and an amazingly good person. ~Bonnie January 09 · Bonnie Williams
