★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I switched to this animal hospital after an unpleasant experience at my old one and I could not be happier. My dog has suffered from hip and joint issues for most of his life but other vets never told me how truly severe the situation was. They just gave us pain meds and sent us on our way. Dr. Bana was honest and transparent with me from the very first visit and he was concerned about Toby from the moment he saw him and felt his legs. He performed some tests and after showing me the x-rays and explaining to me just how bad my dogs hips were, I fully trusted him and his suggestion for an FHO operation.Toby got his surgery successfully and I’m excited for him to be able to move around like a regular dog once he’s all healed!Aside from how much I appreciate Dr. Bana, every other person on staff that I’ve interacted with has been friendly, patient and kind. My dog is very anxious so it helps to have such nice people around when he visits. The other great thing about this animal hospital is that they do everything in house!! The fact that they perform surgeries there is great!! It’s not only convenient but it saves my dog from the stress of having to visit multiple different places. They also sell a bunch of different pet food and treats. Care Credit is also accepted which was a life saver for me.All of this to say, I really can’t recommend this place enough. I’m glad I decided to come here and I’m grateful for what they’ve done to help my dog!!
April 28 · laura navarroI took my tiny dog in to get her anal glands done and her eye checked(my cat scratched her). Dr. Bana ended up finding that her uterus was infected and it never had anything to do with the butt glands. I am so grateful he found that, I am grateful he took care of my tiny dog. Thank you again dr. Bana
April 17 · Dominique ClimonsThis place took us immediately! My cat had an eye infection and wasn't able to open her eye the vet knew exactly what it was within seconds of looking at her skin near her eyes and was able to give us an eye ointment for her she was healed and feeling so much better within two days. The cost was really inexpensive too. I highly recommend this place!
July 11 · AmberI had an emergency with my 1 yr old micro bully named Butkus.he was bleeding extremely bad from his private area.i had went to vet close to my house and they brushed me off could not see him at that moment. I googled on my phone and melrose park animal hospital came up. I drove their in a panic and was met by two really sweet girls at desk.i was put in a room immediately and met dr.bana.he explained to me that Butkus had a prolapsed urethra and needed surjery asap.butkus went into surgery the next day and picked up later that night. Dr bana is a top notch person and veterinarian.he was very compassionate toward Butkus and keep in mind I never met this man before. I picked Butkus up and he was obviously exhausted from surgery but he is healthy as can be. I am so thankful for Dr bana and I want other dog lovers to know he is a class act.my family has Butkus back home and am so greatful that I found melrose park animal hospital.this will be Butkus new vet moving forward. The other thing wanted to mention the cost was beyond reasonable. I had got estimate from few other places and was up to 15k.so not only is he a great vet he doesn’t try and rip normal working people like me off. Couldn’t be more grateful for Dr bana.defintely recomend to anybody that loves their dog to take them there if needed!🙏🏻❤️
August 29 · brett palmDoctor is super nice and took the time to explain in detail about dogs allergies. I have to get a teeth cleaning for dog. That procedure will be pricy. That will cost more that though $750 to over $1000. See picture. I will take him back for teeth cleaning so I will update this post in a week once he goes back for teeth cleaning.
