★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We were happy that our cat, “CC,” aka Cecilia, was able to receive a full workup, IV fluids, and an antibiotic shot after the rough day she had post-plant-eating. We were extremely pleased that CC was able to be seen so quickly— the very next day— and that we were called back to schedule an appointment, right away. I called and left a message the night before, around 6:30/7:00pm, when the business was closed, and I received a call back approximately 13 hours later. Really impressive. Everyone is always very kind and helpful. With CC’s former provider, we never felt like transparency/communication was a priority. Things are different, here! We always leave feeling that we know everything we need to know— what happened, what to expect after this, etc. We are glad to know that CC is doing okay and we do not have to worry about her. CC was very upset with us for bringing her to vet, but it seems she has now forgiven us. All is well. These guys quickly became our regular vet(s), for all of our pets (four cats), and we have recommended them to other, nearby family members, who now have an upcoming appointment for their cat.(Pictured are CC and Sampson, who have both been patients here)
June 09 · Rachel AreI have no words to express the gratitude I have for all the staff at Middletown Veterinary Hospital. I was distraught yesterday and they were so kind, caring and compassionate caring for Rocky. It’s heartwarming to know there are people that care for your babies as much as you do. Rocky and I thank you so much for everything.
February 22 · Michelle GoldbergThank you... my Bear is definitely feeling much better after his visit!! You've restored his busy days!! His sleep of all sleeps! He's snoring! Thank you for making him feel better!!!
February 20 · jac suarezI have nothing but wonderful things to say about the doctors and staff. Dr Ruller and Dr Wardell are professional, caring and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain things and answer questions and you can tell they truly love animals based on their interactions with my pet. The vet techs/pet care attendants are always so sweet and caring and the receptionist takes her time explaining your bill and always greets you with a smile. The office itself is spotless. I'm happy I found them after my vet of 20+ years retired. Highly recommend!
April 15 · Elena VogelUPDATE: Found the terrible Vets name : MEGAN RULLER, VMD (since she never introduced herself) If I could give this Vet/Doctor negative stars I would. I’ve brought my cat to this vet multiple times for ear hematoma‘s and other issues and had no problems, even had one doctor do my cats surgery for FREE. Today was the WORST experience I could’ve ever imagined! First off the assistant was beyond rude when I refused to purchase cat food that I had already just ordered a prescription diet from another vet he was seen by (was told to keep him on his current good for at least 2 months before trying another ) they dismissed the medical advice from the previous vet and tried to continue to have me purchase saying it would help with his stress when he hasn’t even finished a full trial with his current food . They also told me he had to have a rabies shot because he was past due I had informed them I was aware but did not have the funds for the shot I wanted to handle what was an emergency and a priority and worry about preventative needs after the emergency was already addressed. It’s like they were trying to push sales so the assistant kept telling me it was required by New York State law I had then told her I had just taken my cat to a vet previously June 11, 2025 and they did not make me get a vaccine for rabies for him due to not having the funds they made his bladder the priority. His bladder is a life or death situation him not having a rabies shot is not going to kill him when he is an indoor cat. The assistant seem to have gotten annoyed with what I was trying to say and went back and got the doctor and she had came in with another assistant. Immediately the doctor was extremely rude and inconsiderate I was on the phone with my partner co-owner of my cat explaining the situation when she rudely told me to “step out of the room if you’re going to continue to be on the phone having conversations while im trying to do an exam on your cat or hang up, thank you” VERY DISMISSIVE AND RUDE! Didnt even acknowledged my partner wanted to be part of the conversation and know what was being said since he couldn’t be present. She then asked me how long he’s been blocked for I explain to her and told her he hasn’t really pooped she smeared and laughed and said in a sarcastic tone well of course he’s blocked and can’t poop his urine is in the way” as if that’s something I should already know. The doctor then decided to ask me if I was going to get the rabies shot for my cat and I had told her no I explain that to the assistant I do not have the funds she decided to blatantly tell me “well the next time or if you decide to bring your cat back to this vet again and I am in the office I will be administering a rabies vaccine without your consent that is required by New York State lawI have been told her I will not be taking my cat back here if you were going to give him vaccines or do things to him without the approval from me, his owner. I will be making a follow up appointment to another vet to ensure my cat is safe and OK as they only gave him one vaccine that’s only for skin bacteria when I brought him in for what I think is a reblock from crystals. I was honestly disgusted and in disbelief that a doctor could be so inconsiderate/dismissive and have no empathy for their patients and the family that supports them. If anyone is wondering, the doctor NEVER introduced herself, simply came in and just started treating me and my cat like just another $ to get money from. If anyone wants to know , she is a Older women (maybe her mid 40’s) white, blue eyes and brown hair maybe 5”6. Sad because there are some really good vets at the location, SHE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ONE OF THEM!
