NoVa Mobile Vet was my vet of record for years. However, when I was accused of animal cruelty by Prince William County Animal Control, they said they couldn't do business with me after consulting their lawyer. The problem is that I got the case dismissed because there was no cruelty which was conveyed to them. PWC Animal Control offered to speak to them to alleviate their concerns. They refused. They would have been called as a defense witness because they would know the conditions of the home and the pets. Their records helped prove that my dogs were healthy and not abused. They have since ghosted me when I have attempted to contact them for shots and other treatments for my dogs. Their actions have put me in a bind as I try to find ways to get my dogs treated especially when I am handicapped. This is a fair weather doctor so beware if anything goes not to their liking, you may be left without timely care for your pets. - C P

For pet owners in Lorton, Virginia, and throughout the expansive Northern Virginia region, the well-being of our animal companions is a paramount concern. While traditional veterinary clinics serve an invaluable purpose, the process of getting a pet to the clinic can often be a source of considerable stress—for both the pet and their owner. This is where the innovative approach of NoVa Mobile Vet truly shines, bringing professional, compassionate veterinary care directly to your doorstep.

Imagine eliminating the anxiety of car rides, the potential exposure to other sick animals in a waiting room, or the logistical challenges of transporting multiple pets. NoVa Mobile Vet, founded by Dr. Eric Cryan, addresses these common hurdles by providing high-quality medical services in the comfort and familiarity of your home. This personalized approach is particularly beneficial for pets who are elderly, easily stressed, have mobility issues, or for owners with busy schedules or limited mobility themselves. Their dedication is to make veterinary care as convenient and stress-free as possible, ensuring your cherished family members receive the attention they need without ever leaving their safe haven.

This article will provide a comprehensive overview of NoVa Mobile Vet, highlighting its unique mobile service model, the range of care it offers, key features that set it apart, and essential contact information. Our goal is to help you, the pet owner in Virginia, understand how this mobile veterinary service can simplify pet healthcare while maintaining a high standard of medical excellence, fostering happier and healthier lives for your beloved animals.

NoVa Mobile Vet operates primarily as a mobile veterinary service, meaning their primary "location" is wherever you are within their Northern Virginia service area. While their official administrative address is 8352 Terminal Rd Suite H, Lorton, VA 22079, USA, this serves as their base of operations rather than a public-facing clinic for walk-in appointments. The true convenience of NoVa Mobile Vet lies in their ability to bring a fully equipped mobile animal hospital directly to your home in Lorton and surrounding communities.

This unique operational model drastically enhances accessibility for pet owners. There's no need to battle traffic, search for parking, or wrangle anxious pets into carriers for a car ride. For pets who get stressed by unfamiliar environments or car travel, an in-home visit minimizes anxiety, allowing for a calmer examination and a more accurate assessment of their health. This is particularly advantageous for elderly pets, those with mobility challenges, or multi-pet households where coordinating visits to a traditional clinic can be a logistical nightmare. While the physical address is in Lorton, their mobile units serve a wide geographic area across Northern Virginia, making professional veterinary care accessible directly to your residence, prioritizing your convenience and your pet's comfort.

NoVa Mobile Vet offers a diverse range of veterinary services, performed right at your home using their specially equipped mobile unit. Their aim is to provide comprehensive primary care that addresses most of your pet's routine and non-emergency medical needs, ensuring a holistic approach to their health.

  • Wellness Exams and Vaccinations: Comprehensive annual physical examinations are fundamental for early detection of health issues. They provide customized vaccination protocols to protect your pet from common and serious diseases based on their lifestyle and risk factors.
  • Preventative Medicine: This includes essential parasite control programs for fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal parasites, along with nutritional counseling to maintain optimal weight and overall health.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Illnesses: They are equipped to diagnose and treat a wide range of common pet ailments, such as skin conditions, ear infections, minor gastrointestinal issues, respiratory problems, and urinary tract infections. This often involves on-site initial diagnostics.
  • On-Site Diagnostics: Their mobile unit is outfitted to perform various diagnostic tests, which may include:
    • Blood Tests: For comprehensive health panels, organ function assessments, and disease screening.
    • Urinalysis and Fecal Exams: To detect internal parasites, infections, or other issues.
    • Digital Radiography (X-rays): For imaging bones, internal organs, and identifying foreign objects.
  • Dental Care: While major dental procedures requiring general anesthesia are typically referred to their office location, they offer preventative dental assessments and guidance on at-home dental care.
  • Animal Surgery: While complex surgeries are performed at their office location, they handle routine surgical procedures within their mobile hospital or dedicated office. This offers the convenience of initial consultation and follow-up at home, with surgical procedures handled professionally in a suitable environment.
  • Microchipping: A vital service for permanent pet identification, significantly increasing the chances of reunification if your pet ever becomes lost.
  • Pharmacy Services: They can immediately provide necessary medications on-site or connect you with their affiliated pharmacy for quick home delivery, ensuring your pet starts treatment without delay.
  • Hospice and Euthanasia Services: Providing compassionate and dignified end-of-life care in the comfort of your home, allowing pets to pass peacefully surrounded by their loved ones.

NoVa Mobile Vet distinguishes itself with several key features and highlights that make it a highly regarded option for pet care in the Northern Virginia area.

  • Personalized Attention: Without the distractions of a busy clinic, the mobile service allows Dr. Cryan and his team to dedicate more focused, one-on-one time with your pet, observing them in their natural environment and providing a more personalized assessment and care plan.
