Feb 25, 2025 · John PavlakisOLVH has been providing our greyhounds with consistent and top notch care since we adopted our first in 2009. They have supported us through all kinds of conditions and injuries, as well as standard wellness. We receive regular communication and detailed visit summaries. When our dogs visit for dental cleanings, we are informed as soon as the procedure is completed with comprehensive results. We cannot imagine anyone but Drs. Neil and Alice and their incredible, loving staff to be trusted with the care of our dogs. Thank you for your kindness, dedication, knowledge, and guidance!!
Jun 10, 2025 · Kristen AndersonI love this Veterinary hospital! The staff is so kind, knowledgeable, and understanding. Every staff member I’ve encountered has been wonderful. My dogs are usually extremely scared during vet visits, yet they do so well at this office! It definitely helps that they have you wait in the car until your appointment time. It can be very stressful for animals to sit in the waiting room with other nervous pets.Front desk staff members are always friendly & on top of things! Prescriptions are refilled promptly. I really like that appointments are efficient, yet I never feel like I’m being rushed. You guys are the best! Walter & Apollo say “thank you” for being so kind!
Jul 26, 2023 · Caroline BI came to the Old Lyme Vet back in February after another veterinary office in Waterford cleaned my cats teeth a few months prior. The previous vet/vet tech incorrectly diagnosed an abscess/damaged tooth as “pushed back gums” from the teeth cleaning. The first picture is of that tooth that I took a few weeks after the initial cleaning. In February, his tooth broke. I felt awful (of course) and was also a little heated. I took Samwise to the Old Lyme Vet and spilled the tea. I showed the vet tech and the first vet at his intake appointment the picture of his tooth before it broke and they immediately knew it was the result of an abscess. The staff was very patient with me - I have anxiety and can be very direct when I’m upset, I genuinely hope it didn’t come across as rude - and they answered all of my questions. They made time in their busy schedule to remove the root as well as another tooth that needed to be pulled once we realized that Sam was in pain. The surgeon was very kind and explained everything to me after his surgery. I left their office feeling fully informed and confident that they were taking the best care of my fur baby. I highly recommend this veterinary office for their quality of care. I really appreciate the care and kindness that they extended to me, as well.Sam is his usual snuggle bug self and hasn’t had any additional tooth problems. Second picture is Sam trying to tell me to stop working 🧡
Jun 28, 2023 · Katie ManleyDr. Alice was so good with my two bunnies. The office was all booked for their vaccine clinic, but they squeezed me in last minute so my bunnies could get their hemorrhagic vaccine.
