Park Community Animal Hospital Introduce
For pet owners in California, finding a trustworthy and skilled veterinary care provider is a critical decision. In the community of Pico Rivera, Park Community Animal Hospital is a well-known name that has been serving local pets and their families for years. This is a full-service animal hospital dedicated to providing a wide range of veterinary services, from routine check-ups and dental cleanings to advanced surgeries and emergency treatments. The hospital's mission is to ensure that every pet leaves feeling better than when they walked in, and they are committed to partnering with you to keep your animal family members healthy and happy.
The hospital’s reputation is one of both historical excellence and more recent challenges, as reflected in a mix of customer experiences. For many years, under the care of a consistent and dedicated staff, the clinic was an "absolute gem" known for its "outstanding" service and expertise. A client from this era praised the warm, attentive, and incredibly professional staff who handled visits with "compassion, patience, and expertise." This positive foundation highlights the hospital's potential for providing truly high-quality care, a legacy they aim to uphold.
However, it is important to acknowledge that the clinic has faced some challenges in recent years, including staff and vet turnover and concerns about pricing. Some clients have expressed dissatisfaction with a lack of continuity in care and a perception of unnecessary treatments. For a full-service animal hospital, it's crucial to have open conversations about all aspects of care, including diagnostics and cost. The hospital's management has stated they are committed to improvement, with a practice manager available to address feedback and staff training sessions held to ensure better service. They also note that they offer discounts for senior citizens and military personnel.
Despite these concerns, many clients continue to praise the hospital for its compassionate approach and the variety of services available. A client who came in for an emergency found the care to be good and the service commendable, choosing to return. The hospital also strives to provide an organized and welcoming environment, with a clean facility that ensures pets feel comfortable. The staff’s dedication to explaining everything clearly to pet owners is a key feature of their service model.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Park Community Animal Hospital is an absolute gem in Pico Rivera. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. The vets truly care about the well-being of your pets and take the time to explain everything clearly. They handled our visit with compassion, patience, and expertise. The facility is clean, organized, and welcoming. It’s clear they go above and beyond for both pets and their owners. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality, trustworthy care for their furry family members!
July 13 · Victor “Bee” BermudezI have been going to this clinic for many years, when Dr. Park was there. He and his staff were absolutely excellent. The staffing was consistent and most were there for many years. The service was outstanding. However, over the last three years, the clinic has steadily deteriorated in every aspect. Specifically:1. Every time I bring my dog, there is a different Vet there, universally young and inexperienced. In fact, I have NEVER seen the same Vet twice !!! They failed to diagnose my dog properly (after charging $1,200 ), and I had to take him somewhere else. He ended up dying.2. Every time you go there, it is an absolute shakedown for money. They recommend a myriad of treatments for several possible diagnoses, and it is abundantly clear that the transitory Vet has no idea what is wrong with the animal. Why does a dog need a GI treatment for shortness of breath? Why does every dog need antibiotics when there is no evidence (or even reasonable suspicion) of an infection? They throw out a wide net, treating for several possible problems, and charge for every particle. The expense would be tolerable if they provided a proper diagnosis with appropriately focused treatment. But they don't do that. Every time you go there, the staff looks at you and the animal, and aims to get every dime they can get out of you.2. The staff turnover is unacceptably high. There are never the same people there. Despite the unconscionable thievery above, their workers must be getting paid poorly and leave for better jobs. The same applies for the constant turnover of Vets.3. All of their medications and treatments are exorbitant, part of their theme of extorting you every time you go there. Even generic drugs like albuterol, dirt cheap, they will charge you $75 for. And mind you, most of these drugs are of no benefit to your pet, but they sure love to pile them on for more money. If you love your animal, do NOT bring them there. There is no skill there. The place is a revolving door for inexperienced Vets. It is nothing more than an expensive sweatshop that guilts you into giving them thousands. The organization is an absolute disgrace with atrocious ethics. Go somewhere else !!!
April 28 · inez jaureguiI've been taking my fur babies here for over a year now. The customer service is great! They love their patients, whether feline or canine. Took my babies in for care. They are currently doing well.
July 05 · TenayaAmazing area, first time and it was a great time. Me and my baby smoky had to stop in and luckily was welcomed by a wonderful staff that asked all the right questions and immediately took him back to inspect him with an appointment right after checking in. So that was a little new but honestly pretty mind settling only mostly because of the mindful questions they had asked and the attendee ( Joseline) in front had seemed so welcoming of my little brat and had even came back with a status update and a weigh check when she had come back. Could have just got lucky because of how graceful my boy smokey of but yeah. All in all a wonderful experience for such an inconvenient event. Truly amazing and totally would recommend the help offered here. Hope your experience is just as welcoming.
January 21 · DatWon Guiiabsolute headache of a place. everything was fine and going well until the vet who was helping me decided to change my cats medication plan after i already closed out with the front desk. I took my cat in for a ruptured anal gland and it almost seemed as if the vet had no idea what he was talking about. I told him there was a small hole near his butt that needed to be checked on, he said he saw it but it wasn’t too much of a concern and that we won’t need to do surgery. He asked if he could shave the area, and i agreed. This is when things started to get annoying. Mind you, the front desk girls weirdly closed me out before i even got my cat back. The vet calls me back saying he’s changing medications and that he just saw the hole on his butt (which i already thought he saw since that’s what he said the first time i was called back) and the reason to the hole on his butt isn’t because of parasites but a possible “puncture” from a sharp object (huhh??) i mean.. if you google anal gland rupture it looks exactly like what my cat has. So now, i’ve been charged $95 for a fecal exam that they won’t refund but will give a credit… And then proceeds to charge me for different medication where i end up having to spend even more money. The vet tech who was helping me did not make the situation any better because of her rude demeanor and little to no etiquette. After leaving, i realized she didn’t give me my cats flea medication. I came back to 5 or 6 girls sitting at the front desk and i asked to receive the medication that was forgotten. all sat there silent looking like lost dogs. I did not get the girls name who ended up helping me, but i want to thank her for breaking the awkward silence when i asked for help. Overall, i would not recommend going here if you are prone to headaches and don’t want to smell like a dog kennel (the place stinks)
