Peace Love Pets Veterinary Care, with its integrative approach, offers a distinct set of services that go beyond conventional veterinary medicine. It's important to note that, as per public information, they primarily operate as a referral and integrative care clinic, often focusing on second opinions and holistic treatments rather than serving as a primary care facility for routine annual visits and vaccinations. Their services are designed to complement traditional veterinary care, treating the root cause of issues and promoting overall wellness.
- Integrative Veterinary Consultations: These in-depth consultations (available in-person and virtually) explore a pet's health using both Western and Eastern medical perspectives, aiming to create holistic treatment plans.
- Acupuncture Healing Sessions: Utilizing the ancient practice of acupuncture, these sessions aim to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and promote healing for various conditions, including musculoskeletal issues and chronic diseases. Equine acupuncture treatments are also offered.
- Integrative Oncology Consults: For pets diagnosed with cancer, these consultations provide guidance on integrative approaches to support their healing and well-being alongside conventional cancer treatments.
- At-Home Euthanasia: Offering a compassionate and dignified end-of-life "celebration" in the comfort of the pet's home, providing a peaceful transition for beloved companions and their families. This service often involves a quality of life discussion beforehand.
- End-of-Life Virtual Consultations: Providing support and guidance to pet owners navigating the difficult decisions surrounding their pet's end-of-life journey through virtual discussions.
- Food Therapy Consultations: Dietary guidance tailored to a pet's specific health needs, utilizing food as medicine to support healing and overall wellness.
- Labwork: Essential diagnostic testing, including full wellness and senior panels, to assess internal organ health and identify underlying conditions.
- Exotic Animal Veterinary Consultations: Specialized consultations for unique pets beyond dogs and cats, catering to their specific care requirements.

- House Calls: Bringing veterinary care directly to your home, which can be particularly beneficial for anxious pets or those with mobility issues.
It is crucial for New York pet owners to understand that Peace Love Pets Veterinary Care is generally a referral-based practice for integrative and holistic care, and not a primary care veterinarian for routine check-ups or urgent care needs that haven't been previously evaluated.

Peace Love Pets Veterinary Care, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner Reviews
I love this place! Dr. Litwack is an amazing vet who truly cares about pets! He has been a part of my husky family for almost 3 years now. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this place!
Sep 17, 2024 · Deanna CeparanoI am not sure if this is raw emotion or this is how I really feel. My beloved dog was seen by Peace Love Pets. No need to throw a Vet under the bus. My dog was very sick. He could not stand on his hind legs. At the time my wife and I could not afford all of the testing at that time but would return to do the testing that weekend. It was determined that my dog was overweight (By the way I totally agreed with This assessment) he needed to lose weight. Then the winner, the Vet says by law we have to give the Rabies Shot. Well that’s not particularly true if the vet suspects that the dog is sick. Best part they gave the dog the shot in his hind legs where he already had trouble getting up. A couple days later my dog was completely disabled. Could not and would not get up on his own. So we took him back to Peace Love Pets and ran the battery of tests. It turns out that the dog was diabetic, had Lyme disease and pancreatitis. We were like oh my god! Our dog was very sick. We were shown how to administer insulin and other things. By the way the Staff that works there is great. Hands down compassionate people. We saw another vet at Peace Love Pets and he appeared to be the Senior there. I asked if the dog was having a reaction to the shot. I never so so much dancing in my life. Yes danced around the question. We went home. I decided I need to educate myself. It turns out that Rabies shot can bring on the symptoms of diabetes and pancreatitis. Also if the dog appeared sick it would not be advisable to give the shot to the dog at that time.So the end to my story is this. My beloved family dog passed away at home. I definitely believe it was the Rabies shot that finally did him in. We spent money we did not have! We lost the love of our lives and all this because I was not educated enough to ask the correct questions before I went to the vet. I would think I would be able to put my trust in the Vet. My family and I take ownership in the fact that our dog was overweight. But if he was as sick as he turned out to be the Rabies shot should not have been the final nail in the coffin. Pet Owners be educated, ask questions. Be your pets advocate. Because these beautiful creatures cannot speak for themselves. Again, my emotions are raw. But I would just like to know why you would give the rabies shot if the Dog was sick and why would you give the shot in his hind legs where he could not get up. 4 Stars to the staff, I just do not know what the Vets were thinking. I am no doctor. But I can read. Please do better. Please!!
