What is worth choosing in a veterinary clinic is a very personal decision, but it's one that should be made with as much information as possible. The public reviews and feedback from real customers present a complex picture of Plumcreek Animal Clinic. Some long-term patrons have expressed deep disappointment with recent experiences, citing instances of what they perceived as a lack of empathy and poor customer service, particularly during pet health emergencies. One individual, who had used the clinic for over a decade for a variety of their pets' needs, recounted an upsetting experience where they were allegedly turned away and met with a cold response during a critical time for their sick cat. This customer's frustration highlights the importance of compassionate care, especially in stressful situations. The customer was so distraught that they found another vet in town who, in their opinion, showed the necessary care and concern.
However, this particular account stands in contrast to the general expectation of professional veterinary care, and to what one would hope to find in a community-oriented practice. The experience described by this individual, and another who echoed a similar sentiment, speaks to a potential issue with how emergency or walk-in situations are handled. For any pet owner, the emotional bond with their animal is significant, and they look for a clinic that understands and honors that connection.
When choosing Plumcreek Animal Clinic, a prospective client should be mindful of these reported experiences and weigh them against their own needs and expectations. The fact that the clinic is a local presence with a history of serving the community for many years is a noteworthy point. For routine appointments and non-emergency needs, the clinic's structure and services may still be a viable option. For situations requiring urgent care, it may be prudent to call ahead or have an alternate plan in place, as a long-standing customer's recent experience suggests a potential challenge with how such cases are addressed.
Ultimately, the decision to choose a veterinary clinic is a matter of trust. Pet owners in Texas want a partner who will not only provide excellent medical treatment but will also treat them and their pets with kindness, respect, and compassion. While the clinic has a long-standing history, it is crucial for new and existing customers to consider all available information and personal needs to determine if Plumcreek Animal Clinic is the right fit for their beloved pets.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is absolutely disgusting — not just in terms of service, but in how heartless and cold the staff are. My mother in law brought her cat in during a medical emergency, terrified and desperate for help, and was met with pure attitude and zero empathy. One of the staff even said, “I don’t care if your cat is sick.” Yes, those were the exact words. Who the hell says that to someone whose pet is suffering? They clearly don’t care about animals — or people. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them, not clients asking for help. If you love your pet, DO NOT bring them here. I wouldn’t trust this place with a stuffed animal, let alone a living being. Horrible experience, and we’ll be telling everyone we know to stay far away.
June 30 · Keeli BrooksAs far as I’m concerned, my animals are just like my children, They’re a part of my family when they hurt we hurt. I’ve never felt so sad or disrespected. I have literally been using Plum Creek veterinary since 2012, I have had pets that have got shots there for years, Even spayed and neutered, One of my babies have had to be euthanized their, A litter of pups du-claws and tails, Shall I mention my sweet baby angel that was quarantine there for 10 days several years back even… I have used this vet for all my pet needs….Until today, my kitty Was not acting right not eating not drinking and his urine was the color of Honey. I show up to my vet OF MANY years, Just to be told ( Are you a walk-in ? ) (I said no ma’am I’ve been coming here for years.) She said I don’t recognize you.) I said I come here all the time and my cat is very sick!! (Elderly, long-haired lady) at front desk says to me I don’t care if your cat is sick.!!!! Go to Decatur vet! Or the pet Hospital, by catfish or Harley’s!!!!I am totally dumbfounded (and other words that I do not want to use) about this customer service. I would’ve waited an hour or two hours even for you to see my cat. Or even a bring it back first thing in the morning!!! But no, you were so cruel, and didn’t even care for my loved one no matter what he was going through. I found an awesome vet in town Heritage Creek Very caring and sweet women at the desk who took my cat in even right before they were about to close, because they care!!!! , he’s now spending the night there and with 104 temperature… My cat needed help !! and as a veterinary PLUM CREEK could care less to help… You should not even be in the veterinarian business of caring for animals if that’s the way you’re gonna treat people’s fur babies!#Long-standingCustomer #NeverAgain

January 12 · Paradise StoneI am very impressed with plum creek. I boarded my cat for a week and they took amazing care of him. While he was there, we made the decision to also neuter him. He had no problems. It was such an easy process, and very affordable. The main lady I went through was very knowledgeable, and made sure to update me on everything they did with him the entire week. I will definitely use them again!
November 25 · Katelynn EslingerI want to be able to give this vet clinic five stars however recently within the last couple months every time I’ve called or talk to them they’ve only ever been rude and disrespectful and very dismissive. I truly hope that the new people that they’ve hired hasn’t changed the way this vet clinic treats people and animals
