January 09 · Anthony MalliasI recently had a thoroughly frustrating experience with this animal hospital. If you are considering this place….. save your money and go somewhere else. Over the course of the past month with THREE separate visits to address my pets issue (My dog has been literally RIPPING off her hair tail is infected now and has a bald tail) they only gave a medication(Apoquel) that only relieves basically itchiness after an advance research. This basically wasted my time and MONEY for my poor dog that is literally as we speak in discomfort. I had to take more action than the vets to put a cone, itch relief on my dogs tail. I would RECOMMEND SEEKING CARE ELSEWHERE. Keep in mind animals aren't just pets, and they also hurt but cannot speak.Front desk is always miserable, and awkward to talk to. This has been my vet for 8 years now almost 9…… says alot when a new crew of staff comes into play. I called and sent photos of my dog. They said it's from fleas but I have another dog. Then they said it might be something else but keep in mind my other dog would have the same problem.
May 16 · Adreanna BYears of taking my pets to this office and it finally came time for me and my family (other households) to exit Ridge Hill’s care after negligence and malpractice of our furry family members. Even down lack of educating us pet parents when it’s needed. My dog had a rash and with nearly a year of my dog being on apoquel with no real answers on what can be causing it, it turns out it may just be chafing. We were treating it for so long for it to just possibly be chafing. Apoquel is not cheap either! Also it took our new vet to recommend changing his food because grain free foods tend to lead to enlarged hearts down the road and if that’s preventable, why wouldn’t that be suggested?! I appreciated what our new vet told me. Just wish it didn’t take having to put down 2 family dogs for us to get here.
February 11 · Anthony & Jennifer CeniccolaTook my dog, Bella doctor Fracasso is very good. We have been going there for years.
June 20 · Rob BRidgehill Veterinary Hospital was negligent in the care of our precious little Chewy. We were on the second round of chemo, the first round went very well, Chewy was in remition for 16 months. Now it was only the second week into our second round of treatment, this was on a Wednesday, the doctor did blood work, the doctor said she wouldn't be in the office again until Monday which meant that we would have to wait 5 days before getting the blood work result for our very sick dog, this caused our little Chewy to get dangerously anemic. When the blood work came back on Monday it was 18, but when we arrived at Ridgehill for an emergency appointment Monday with a very critical sick Chewy they tested him again, his anemic count was even lower by then, he was at a count of 10, a normal healthy dog count is 60, their lack of diligence stole any opportunity for us to get the proper care for our precious Chewy, which resulting in us having to put him to sleep this past Monday night. We are devastated and heartbreaken 😭💔Ridgehill veterinarian hospital should have had someone qualified in their office to read the report the next day, then take the necessary action to treat out dog in a timely manner, in that case our Chewy may still be with us today.Ridge Hill Animal Hospital State Street North Haven, CT. Was irresponsible, neglectful and negligent in the care and treatment of our precious family member/pet, we do not recommend their services, they were heartless and cruel. We urge you to look elsewhere for the care of your precious animals.
