North Haven Animal Hospital Reviews
Hello!Love North Haven Animal Hospital! We’ve brought our cats, Smokey & Charlie and our wonderful dog, Roxy to the Animal Hospital for pet care (annual check-ups & other needed appts) for the last 20+ years. We’ve always been happy with the doctors, and the care they’ve provided for our pets.In the future, we plan on getting another dog, and that pet would become part of the North Haven Animal Hospital pet family - it will always be our 1st choice for the care of our beloved pets!Thank you, North Haven Animal Hospital 🐈❤️🐕
Jun 04, 2025 · Mary Anne TwainMy dogs have been patients there for many years, I trust their care whole heartedly as they are true animal lovers. I appreciate that they are not handing me an estimate after the first 5 minutes before a diagnosis. the patient is the most important issue. They do their best to be considerate of your costs without sacrificing the well being of your beloved pets. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Apr 04, 2025 · Susan ArcangeloGus Gus loves coming to your vet practice! Everyone is so friendly. We are in and out in a few minutes. Love all the reminders. We will never miss a visit. They keep us on track for shots and tests.
Apr 27, 2025 · Barbara GamacheMy experience with North Haven Animal Hospital was very poor, especially with Dr. Wells. We have a 130 lb. beautiful black German shepherd named “Sargent Pepper.”Dr. Wells became very indignant when we asked him for a prescription for “Rimadal” from “CHEWY.” We had used this med in the past with Sargent for his arthritis pain & he responded well from it.Dr. Wells begrudgingly told us he would write the prescription, but responded with “I don’t trust CHEWY & you’ll have to send the prescription in yourselves, my office doesn’t call prescriptions in!!”I’m sure Dr. Wells would have preferred we buy the med from him at 3 times the price!!!Another complaint is there are no floor mats within this veterinarian clinic for dogs with mobility problems preventing the dogs from slipping on the the linoleum floors.Sargent Pepper was a very large 10 year old dog with hind leg weakness. It was heartbreaking to watch him & other dogs fall & slip on these floors within this clinic!!How much effort & money would it take these veterinarians to invest in rubber mats on the floor to prevent slipping & falling for our animals??I also question the amount of training time is spent with his Tech’s in this clinic??The weight scale for dogs in this clinic is old & requires large dogs to climb up on the scale which is about 12-14 inches off the floor, requiring a large dog to jump up onto “again” a slippery stainless steel scale…When our Sargent was having difficulty climbing up onto the slippery scale, the Tech working with Dr. Wells pulled Sargent’s lead line so hard that it started to choke our dog!! It was very obvious that Sargent was unable to get up onto the scale, but the Tech under Dr. Wells supervision continued to try until I told her to “STOP you’re choking him!”Every other Vet clinic I have brought my dog had a floor scale with a black grip mat on top for the dog to easily stand on!!!!We did start Sargent on “Librella” along with the “Rimidal” we ordered from CHEWY which is an anti-inflammatory to help Sargent with his pain.I would never recommend Dr. Wells at North Haven Vet Hospital to anyone because of all the reasons I’ve stated above.Dr. Wells showed no compassion & at times was very arrogant towards us & he needs to retire!!!!
Mar 21, 2025 · Heather ChasmanLemmy was very well treated during his wellness exam and shots. Things were explained to us as he was weighed and given shots and an oral vaccine (I am very grateful for the oral vaccine, and the explanation that this cuts out his jabs.) Our questions were also answered in a concise, understandable manner and with great empathy.
