★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1RVA’s lack of post-op care led to the loss of our baby girl.We took our sweet Pebbles in for a routine teeth cleaning and Cyst removal at the vet’s recommendation. The cyst was large and we were told there was a chance of rupture. We aren’t sure if there were errors during the surgery – maybe she aspirated and they didn’t notice, maybe they used too large a tube because she has a small trachea, maybe they pulled her oxygen before she was fully awake, we don’t know, but we do know the following:They claimed the surgery went well and sent her home later that day, while we were shocked at the large incision, they insisted this was necessary for clean margins. They claim it was only 3 inches, but it appeared much larger. She had trouble holding herself from the moment we got her, and when we called, they said it was because of the anesthesia and could last up to 24 hours. We Trusted them. The next morning, she wasn’t eating and we called, they still said it was ok, not to worry probably her throat was sore from the intubation and to give her level 2 baby food. We Trusted them. She still didn’t improve so by mid-day we called and said we were taking her to the emergency vet. They said bring her here for an “emergency visit” – again we shouldn’t have trusted them because they clearly just wanted money. They took her temp; said she needed oxygen and then had the audacity to “offer” to give her a sedative and take x-rays. At which point we weren’t waiting another minute to get her to the emergency vet.Unfortunately, by this point, there was fluid in her lungs, acid in her belly and the emergency vet said her trachea was swelling a little. They treated her as best they could but she passed less than 36 hours later. There is NO post operative care given, had they taken her temp or checked her oxygen, we likely would have taken her immediately to the emergency clinic the same day as her surgery – those 24 hours could have saved her life. Our baby was only 5.5 years old; healthy and happy and so full of love. They had been seeing Pebbles her entire life. The worse part of it all; when we took her to the emergency room, they never called to check on her the next day and the following morning when she passed, they did not call either. When my husband finally called and asked to talk to Dr. T a week later, she called back and her message had no compassion, she simply said I’m returning your call and call me back. No, I’m sorry for your loss, nothing. There was no point in returning her call. It’s been a month now since we lost her and we still cry every single day. We don’t know how to live in a world without her.We don’t care what they say below, or what excuses they give, their lack of post-op care likely led to the loss of our beautiful little girl and so we will forever hate ourselves for trusting Roswell Veterinary Associates.
March 17 · Melody RatliffLove this place! The veterinarians and vet techs are all very pleasant, patient, knowledgeable and caring. They take the time to discuss options, answer questions and provide very helpful insight to ensure you feel confident that you have a good idea of how to best support your pet. My dog is a rescue and has a lot of fear and anxiety around vet visits. RVA's fear free approach has made it so much easier for my dog and I.Dr Rosenthal was my first dog's vet (starting in 2014 or 2015 I think). After a few vet encounters with my new rescue didn't go well and left me frustrated and confused about the plan of care it finally occurred to me to look her up and I subsequently found RVA. I am so glad I did! While it can be hard to estimate how much a vet visit would cost before you get there- they are very upfront and transparent about the cost breakdown of anything discussed during the appointment.I do not know regulating bodies or standards that are upheld in the veterinary world but I am an emergency room RN and if I graded my experience with them using the same rubric that grades the people hospitals- they would score much better than average
July 03 · J. SelcaI have a one year-old standard poodle that we have taken to see Dr. Rosenthal since he was a small puppy. From maintenance and preventative care to sick visits, we have always had a five star experience. The staff is incredibly patient, caring, knowledgeable and helpful.Today we saw Dr. Lily for a sick visit. She too was just wonderful with my sweet boy. He is on the mend and already feeling better. I am so thankful!Veterinary care can be pricey. That is just the nature of the beast, but I always feel the charges that we have incurred have been fair and warranted. I am so thankful a friend recommend this practice to us, and I don’t hesitate to recommend them to others.
February 16 · Devon DeVigneIf you're like me, only the best will do for your pets. Well, box checked for vet care because this place is fantastic. Unfortunately, my Rottweiler is a four-legged walking medical bill, so I've spent my time here and have nothing but good things to say. From the time you open the door to a clean waiting room greeted by friendly staff. Lori at the front desk is terrific. Dr. Trujillo is very professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She takes a very common-sense approach and doesn't recommend unnecessary treatments. Dr. Wood is great also, even when my Zeus slobbers all over her pants.
June 22 · Shane AbercrombieAbout $30 more than regular appointment and the vet can squeeze us in for a walk-in after my Westie was acting very strange. They got to us between other appointments and were very helpful. I'm so thankful. Got an ultrasound scheduled for later this week. Thank you!
