★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Awesome!!!! I had a goat with a mass on her side and Skillman drove out to my house and removed it right in my garage!! They were very down to earth and informed me of everything they would do. The incision is healing very nicely with absolutely no issues!! Love them!!!
July 09 · Lori ThomasVery professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We couldn’t be happier. They have taken wonderful care of our goats and llama.
April 10 · Theresa EbbertI do not recommend anyone use Skillman Vet Services to perform a PPE. Dr. Skillman provided me with confusing and inconsistent reports that failed to leave me with adequate information to assess the horse’s condition and make a decision about purchasing him. I would highly recommend using a different vet to perform a PPE.I was unable to be present for this PPE, Dr. Skillman was aware that I would not be present and we discussed that she would call with any updates/concerns during the exam. This did not happen. Instead, the day of the exam it was communicated to me via text that everything was going well, the horse was sound, and they would be proceeding with the x-rays following the physical exam. Foolishly, I took her at her word that she was confident in her assessment of the horse and that he was sound with no obvious areas of pain/discomfort. She did disclose he had one positive flexion, which I was not concerned with.Once she was done with the exam and had taken the x-rays, her story changed completely. She told me the next day that she actually thought the horse was lame and backsore. There was absolutely NO mention of either of these issues when she texted me before proceeding with the x-rays. It seemed as if she purposefully did not disclose these findings in order to proceed with the x-rays and charge me a significant amount of money. Money I would not have spent had I known the horse was lame and backsore.I did discuss these issues with her over the phone, and she was again providing me with confusing and conflicting statements about the horse and her findings. Overall, the PPE left me with more questions than answers and was a very frustrating experience. I would not trust her clinical assessment, as she does not seem to even trust them herself based on her constantly changing findings. I was not given enough clear and consistent information from this PPE to even make a decision about buying the horse, which is the entire point of a PPE. It was a waste of time and money.
April 07 · Emily CaseyWe have been working with Skillman Vet Services for over 10 years. Mostly just for routine care, but in the last year we have had more intense care needed. When my gelding coliced, Dr. Harris met us at the clinic late at night and got us into Purdue after finding a fecalith upon examination. Because of this, we were able to get him into surgery and save his life. I’m also in the process of breeding my heart horse. The whole team has been so helpful. The care and dedication to their clients is evident. We love the team at SVS!!
June 01 · Chloe DillonI love Dr Skillman and Dr Harris and their fabulous staff. Whether I haul to their fantastic office facility or they do a farm call, they are top notch, knowledgeable and compassionate! All questions are answered even my stupid ones. I’ve called upon them for my horses, my geriatric pony (age 39!) and even our goat, now sadly deceased thanks to a caring euthanasia. They might be small of stature but they are powerful (see photo)!
