Southern Paws Animal Hospital Reviews
We just moved into the area and needed a new vet for our 2 year old Cavachon. We were able to get an appointment within a few days of calling. We were seen promptly by a tech. The tech was very thorough and was very gentle with our dog. Dr. Hill came in soon after the tech. We found Dr. Hill to be very knowledgeable and gave us a significant amount of time. We scheduled a follow up appointment for some further vaccinations. Overall an excellent first appointment
Jun 01, 2025 · Wayne WagonerSouthern Paws is a trustworthy reputable Vet. One thing I liked about them is that I called several different vets (atleast 5 or more) to find out which would be the best place for my dog to get his dewclaw removed. Not only did they have the best/soonest openings but they also were the only ones to give me a quote before I walked in. During my first appointment, I had to get my dog some of his shots. Before they did anything they quoted me the prices of every single shot, how much it would cost and did not pressure me to say yes to anything. I really appreciate that in a vet. No surprise bills here.
May 28, 2025 · NickWe really can not say enough good about Southern Paws. Timely appointments were what first brought us here. The wonderful staff and the facility sold us. Then, only a few visits later, Dr Hill was instrumental in saving our Dog Bentley's life. He was not feeling well, Dr Hill did a thorough exam, adding fluids and antibiotics, she said if he got worse during the night, take him to emergency clinic. Two amazing emergency vets later, he ended up having emergency surgery that morning for a ruptured mass behind his liver. It was extensive surgery that he may not have survived had he not received such excellent care from Dr. Hill earlier.
Jan 17, 2024 · Linda TerrellYesterday Dr. Hill and her staff saved my cat Snickers’ life! They hydrated him, kept him overnight and watched him today. Gave him meds for nausea and for his possible infection. I am in debt to them and so grateful. I’ve been taking my pets there for years and Dr Hill is always very straightforward. I don’t know how they deal with all the pet death they probably see, but were kind when I had to put my old cat Buttercup and dog Shelly down. They also sent me a card when my other cat Huckleberry suddenly had a stroke. Dr. Hill is always very kind and puts up with my tears in her office. Grateful to you all! Thanks so much!
Mar 21, 2025 · Jennifer F. SchulzOur dog has been seeing Dr. Hill for 6+ years. Dr. Hill is a good vet. However, we recently changed to another vet due to her front desk staff. The 2 women are just pure hateful, rude, and disrespectful. We could not get our dogs meds filled without a hassle and attitude from Suzanne. It has gotten worse over time but since we liked Dr. Hill I just went with it. I couldn’t take it no more after having being disrespected about my dogs meds these past 2 weeks. If Dr. Hill had nicer front desk staff we’d still be there. Unfortunately we had to move on. There’s no need to be mean, hateful, and disrespectful in a job like this. Peoples pets are their babies.
