- Friendly and Supportive Veterinary Staff: The vet nurse and veterinarian were described as "super friendly" and "amazing" with a dog that "does NOT like going to the vet," suggesting a patient and accommodating approach to handling anxious animals.

However, it is imperative to also acknowledge critical feedback provided by another customer, which details significant concerns and conflicting experiences:

This raises serious concerns about diagnostic protocol and communication.
- Lack of Bedside Manner and Professionalism: The same reviewer describes the veterinarian as "abrasive and unprofessional" with "no bedside manner," indicating a negative client interaction.
- Unsubstantiated Criticisms and Insults: The veterinarian was accused of making "low blows" by insulting the client's groomer without factual basis, which severely impacted the client's respect and trust.
- Impact on Trust and Recommendation: The negative experience led the client to "plead with anyone still going to this vet to stop now," expressing a loss of "every bit of respect" and urging others to avoid the clinic for the well-being of their pets.

Stafford Animal Hospital, located conveniently on Richmond Highway, has received mixed feedback from the community. Stafford Animal Hospital Reviews
I have a German shepherd that does NOT like going to the vet. This vet office was amazing with him. The front desk was friendly and inviting. The vet nurse was super friendly, as was the veterinarian. I left looking forward to our next visit. Can't say my fur baby is, though! But at least he will be well cared for.
May 13, 2025 · Charlene HarrisWriting as we had a most awful experience. We have a 4 year old precious cavachon. We brought her there to be seen. DJ has no bedside manner. She was abrasive and unprofessional. She said our puppies had spinal fractures when they did not at all. My fiancé told me that during the visit you told him about a story of a dog with a calcium deficiency who jumped off a bed and fractured his spine. Then, DJ, you proceeded to come outside to the truck, knock on the window to say that because we fed our puppies chicken and rice for 2 months due to puppies vomiting from Farmers Dog food, you stated that they both had spinal fractures. How you determined this from zero xrays I'd like to know. We took our puppies to Aquia Animal Hospital, where we had a real vet confirm that neither puppy had spinal fractures. DJ, you then proceeded to tell me my puppy had cancer without doing any tests. Again, Aquia Animal hospital aspirated the lump like a true professional vet, and stated that upon further review it was a fatty tumor, most likely benign. Before you give life changing news to a dog mom or a dog dad, please back it up with medical facts. We will not be back. Also, the low blow was when you insulted our groomer stating that she doesn't cut their nails because as you said "let's face it. Groomers just want to be liked. They don't care about dogs." Our groomer Miss Jennifer in Stafford VA is the best groomer hands down and runs a grooming business from her home and loves our dogs like their own. You lost not only business but every bit of respect. My puppies deserve better. ❤️ I plead with anyone still going to this vet to stop now before your puppy is misdiagnosed. My puppies are my entire world 🌎. If you love your babies the way I love mine, I am begging you to stop leaving your puppies in the care of this heartless monster.
Jul 05, 2025 · K YoungFantastic vet! Everyone was so kind and service was prompt. I brought my pup in for a mass and the doctor was great at explaining everything and what my options were. Will definitely be bringing all my pets here!
Mar 06, 2025 · Kittie DI made an appointment for one of my dogs because she is older and has started limping. We have been to this vet before and seen two different vets. One of is great! I was aware she needed shots and has an extensive health history with auto immune disorder. Im a little stressed and anxious because it’s my dog and she is my best friend. The vet comes in the room ranting about allergies almost insinuating I was dumb and not a good pet owner because she licks and has some yeast. This has been my dog’s MO her whole life and we go through periods of it being worse than others. I had to stop her from her rant and ask if she supposed that was the concern for stiffness and limping. I knew it wasn’t and i knew her answer was going to be no. I say all this to say. I had to advocate pretty hard to change the subject of allergies which felt like it was being wielded to essentially make me feel like I wasn’t a good owner to my dog. So I'm sure your pets are safe here. It’s just not the overall experience i was hoping for and i think that boils down to personalities. The admin and tech staff were very sweet! Im adding a picture of my dog because she is the best enjoy.
Aug 27, 2024 · Kayla LeinenweberI was referred here because of when I purchased my dog. This animal hospital has been examining & treating my "Lucy" since her birth. I was very happy to keep her going here. In fact, because of their great service, I bought my male dog "Lazlo" to be seen by this place regularly now. Driving there could take me between 30 minutes to an hour and a half getting there depending on timing and traffic on 95, but it's so worth it! Staff is loving and affectionate towards your animals, making them feel loved and comfortable for whatever upcoming issue or check-up they might have. I am also amazed by the fact that they can see both of my large dogs at the same time or even in tandem quickly getting me & my dogs in and out without delay. The doctor & staff are always enthusiastic to answer any and all of my concerns for my other children with fur LOL. I would definitely recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone and everyone.
