UrgentVet Introduce
As a pet owner in The Woodlands, you know that your furry friend’s health doesn't always operate on a 9-to-5 schedule. When your pet suddenly becomes ill or sustains a minor injury after your regular vet’s office has closed, a full-service emergency hospital can be expensive and overwhelming. UrgentVet in The Woodlands, Texas, fills this crucial gap, offering a specialized and accessible solution for after-hours pet care. This clinic is designed to handle urgent, but not life-threatening, situations, providing a high-quality, convenient, and more affordable alternative to the traditional emergency room.
The mission of UrgentVet is to provide compassionate, high-quality care for pets when their primary veterinarian is unavailable. They understand that a pet's illness or injury can be a source of immense stress for pet parents, and their entire model is built around alleviating that anxiety. The clinic offers a unique "Fear-Free" environment, which is designed to reduce stress for pets. This includes private exam rooms, calming scents and music, and a staff trained to handle anxious animals with a gentle, patient approach. This commitment to your pet’s emotional well-being is as important as the medical care they provide.
UrgentVet operates on a walk-in basis, but with a modern twist: you can save your spot online to minimize your wait time. This combination of flexibility and technology makes the process seamless, so you can focus on your pet rather than the logistics of getting care. Their services are available after regular business hours, on weekends, and on holidays, ensuring that help is always available when you need it most. They work closely with your primary veterinarian, sending a full report and medical records after your visit to ensure a smooth transition back to your regular care provider.
UrgentVet is conveniently located at 3335 College Park Dr Suite 250, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Its position on College Park Drive makes it easily accessible for residents of The Woodlands, as well as nearby communities like Conroe, Spring, and Oak Ridge North. The clinic is situated in a well-trafficked commercial area, with easy access from major roads, which is a major advantage during an unexpected pet health issue.
Accessibility is a top priority for this clinic. They offer a free parking lot, and their facility is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible car park, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible toilet, and wheelchair-accessible seating. This level of planning ensures that all clients, regardless of their mobility, can get the care their pets need. Furthermore, UrgentVet is an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space, demonstrating a clear commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone in the community. They also offer flexible payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, making the payment process as smooth as possible.

They are the perfect middle ground between a routine vet and a 24/7 emergency hospital. As one customer review pointed out, they provide an affordable option when you are facing a "much higher price tag from past emergency vet experiences," allowing you to get timely care for a non-life-threatening issue.
Another compelling reason to choose UrgentVet is the consistent praise for their compassionate and professional staff. A customer review from Chris B. stated, "The doctor quickly evaluated Gracie and, although the news we received was disappointing, it was delivered with professionalism and empathy." The review went on to say that the staff "made a difficult situation just a little bit easier, and that means the world to us." This type of feedback demonstrates a deep commitment to the emotional well-being of both the pet and the owner.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I took my dog Slim Jim because he ate a can of spray cheese and i was worried he ingested metal. Our tech Haley was AMAZING as was the rest of the staff. I was expecting a much higher price tag from past emergency vet experiences and was pleasantly surprised. They took great care of him and gave him tons of love. They were also very informative and made sure I completely understood everything. In case anyone is wondering he is just fine😂 here he is patiently waiting for Haley to come back and give him more love.
July 25 · unicorn zombiWe recently brought our dog Gracie to UrgentVet, and I want to sincerely thank the entire team for the care and compassion they showed during her visit. The doctor quickly evaluated Gracie and, although the news we received was disappointing, it was delivered with professionalism and empathy. We truly appreciated the way options were clearly explained to us, without pressure, allowing us to make the best decision for Gracie. The staff made a difficult situation just a little bit easier, and that means the world to us. I would highly recommend UrgentVet to anyone needing prompt and compassionate care for their pet.— Chris B.
July 06 · Chris BoydFriday, April 11 we had to make the difficult decision to let our Buster cross the Rainbow Bridge. We had 18 wonderful years with this little being, whom we lovingly referred to as “The Tiny Emperor”. Friday afternoon my daughter let me know he was declining, and likely had a seizure. I called several vets in the area, and the moment the young woman at UrgentVet picked up the phone I knew where we were going. As soon we walked in, we were treated with such kindness and compassion. We were escorted to a family room where they had treats and a large area where we could sit with him on the floor. The staff was so attentive and explained everything that was going to happen. They placed a catheter and told us to let them know when WE were ready. They loved on him like he was one of their family and gave us the time we needed. When he was gone, they took him for a few moments, cleaned him up and took paw and nose prints and brought him back to us so we could take him home to grieve with our two other dogs. Not only did we receive a condolence card from the staff while we were there, but I also received another one a few days ago that other members of the staff signed. My family was so touched at the care that UrgentVet provided us both that night and the days following. Thank you Hailey and Dr. Hummel, for making a very difficult night a little easier. We love you Buster, rest easy fur baby. 💔
April 22 · Alissa LindstromI had to bring my pup in on Sunday ( Mother’s Day). From start to finish the online check-in to the front desk, assistant & the doctor all were top notch. Very friendly, yet professional & knowledgeable. They diagnosed & sent me home with medication to help my pup. The pricing was very reasonable. Most importantly they were very sweet w/ my Charlie and sincerely concerned! Thank you very much!
May 13 · Grace RolfsonI want to thank Tiffany, Tony, Gracie, Stephanie, Kelby, and Dr. Gray for their amazing care. My fiance and I took our cat, Pickles, in for an urgent care visit a few weeks ago. We had our cat get checked out because he had a history of urinary issues and we noticed that he was hardly peeing and seemed to be in pain.Dr. Garbutt and Hailey took care of us. The doctor gave us his advice and opinion. He was very enthusiastic and shared his knowledge eagerly. We were able to get Pickles help for a few weeks where he got better! This was a great first impression! Then, our cat’s urinary issues continued, so we contacted a low cost vet that saw him and recommended surgery. We made the decision to book the urethrostomy. The low cost vet said that he couldn’t book the surgery for another six weeks. We were devastated. My family and I knew Pickles could not wait that long, so we had to consider euthanizing our cat. We were devastated by this conclusion. We had taken Pickles to multiple vet visits, tried catheters, medication, prescription food, but it still didn’t heal the long term problem (no fault to any vet, just a common issue with male cats.)We knew Pickles was in pain and was suffering. We took him into UrgentVet to end his pain. I was amazed by their team’s care. This process was a type of heart shattering toughness for us, but the team of techs figuratively held our hand through it all and made it easier for us. Speaking to us calmly, empathetically, knowledgeably, and let us take our time to say our goodbyes. It brought me to tears when I opened a card from the team with positive messages and condolences from them. They had our pets paw prints stamped in the card. The thoughtful touch and caring messages mean the world to me. I strongly recommend this business if you need immediate care for urgent pet issues. I can’t thank them enough for what they did for us!
