UrgentVet Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the vibrant and active communities of Colorado, where our pets are often our adventure partners, it's inevitable that a health concern might arise after normal business hours. For residents in the Littleton and Englewood areas, knowing where to turn for immediate, non-life-threatening pet care is crucial. UrgentVet in Englewood, Colorado, is a specialized animal hospital and urgent care center that is revolutionizing veterinary care. It operates on a model similar to human urgent care, designed to bridge the gap between your primary veterinarian and a full-scale 24/7 emergency hospital. This clinic is not for routine check-ups or preventative care; its purpose is to provide immediate, same-day treatment for illnesses and injuries that need prompt attention but are not life-threatening. This includes a wide range of issues from coughing and sneezing to minor injuries and foreign body ingestion. UrgentVet is committed to a "Fear-Free" philosophy, meaning they go to great lengths to reduce stress and anxiety for both pets and their owners during a potentially difficult time. By focusing on urgent care, they aim to provide a more affordable and efficient alternative to a traditional emergency room visit, ensuring that your pet can feel better sooner.
Location and Accessibility
UrgentVet's Englewood location at 5124 S Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113, USA, is highly accessible for a wide range of residents across the south Denver metropolitan area. Its presence on a major thoroughfare makes it a straightforward drive for pet owners in Englewood, Littleton, and surrounding communities. Recognizing that a pet health concern can be stressful for owners as well, the clinic has made significant efforts to ensure the facility is welcoming and easy to navigate for everyone. It offers a free, wheelchair-accessible parking lot, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. They also have wheelchair-accessible seating, which is a thoughtful detail for clients with mobility challenges. Additionally, the clinic has a gender-neutral restroom and is described as an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space, highlighting a commitment to serving all members of the community with respect and inclusivity. While appointments are recommended, the clinic is set up to handle walk-ins, and they encourage clients to book a preferred arrival time online to save a spot and minimize potential wait times. This combination of a convenient location, free parking, and a strong focus on accessibility makes UrgentVet a practical and stress-free option for urgent pet care.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I cannot recommend urgent vet enough. If your pup is having a major issue and your normal vet isn’t open this is the place to go. They are very transparent with pricing, everyone is really sweet and educate you on what they’re doing with your pup. Unfortunately we have been here three times for a broken nail, foreign body ingestion, and poison ingestion, each time they’ve treated us and our pups with so much respect. I hope I never have to come back but if I do I know that my babies are in good hands!!
July 01 · Rachael RoseOur 17 year old dog was vomiting and lethargic on a Sunday and we were really scared. We took him to UrgentVet and had the best experience. We were seen quickly, the staff members were all so sweet and made us feel so much better. He ended up staying for a few hours and getting IV fluids and the whole time, he was loved on by the UrgentVet team and well taken care of.He’s on his way to recovery now, but I would highly recommend UrgentVet and the team there!
June 02 · Sarah LindenI have absolutely nothing but incredible things to say about this urgent care. I don’t usually write reviews but Dr. Hoppe and the staff here were nothing shy of amazing. My cat has been dealing with allergies and had given herself a massive ear hematoma from shaking her head. When I got home from work I saw it was even worse then it was in the morning, and she was continuously shaking her head and walking with her head sideways because of the hematoma and pain. Not only did they get us in fast, but they were so great with Sugar, and everyone was extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Hoppe was really encouraging and empathetic for the long road that owners of pets with undiagnosed allergies have to endure, especially those with recurrent ear hematomas. He really took his time talking with us, and Sugar was more comfortable then I’ve seen in over a week! They were able to drain the entire hematoma (other vets only were able to get 50% of it and this was our fourth time getting it drained). He prescribed steroids to help her stop itching as well as gabapentin for her pain…. After a long week of going back and forth to vets to get her ear drained it feels like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and we feel really empowered and encouraged as pet owners. Some vets have told us to just leave it and it’ll eventually go away on its own, but Dr. Hoppe saw how much pain and discomfort our cat was in and genuinely helped—not only her, but us to better understand how we can help her heal. He prescribed medications and recommended an ear wrap to ACTUALLY help her heal comfortably (the first of 3 vets to do so). A day later and she is doing so much better! It’s very apparent that Dr. Hoppe genuinely cares about the comfort of his patients.I know this review is long but I just have nothing but amazing things to say about our experience here. Everyone was so great, but Dr. Hoppe really made a big difference for us and for Sugar’s comfort and healing.Pictured is her hematoma before and the homemade ear wrap I made until her NoFlapEarWrap comes in the mail
August 28 · Anita SwiftThe staff was exceedingly kind and thoughtful. As soon as they realized that Loki needed more help than they could provide they referred us to the vet er. Unfortunately he didn’t make it but his last hours were spent as comfortably as possible thanks to them. Here’s a photo of Loki being warmed to raise his temperature and one in better days.
