Our hospital's compassionate approach is particularly evident during the most difficult times for pet owners. The pet owner praised Dr. Faith and the entire staff for their efficiency, honesty, and compassion, noting how they made sure the cat was "absolutely comfortable and without stress the whole time." This speaks to the high level of empathy and professionalism that our team consistently provides. While some clients mention that our services may be a little pricier than other vets, they often state that the quality of care and peace of mind they receive makes it "worth it." April 05 · Lynn RichardsonWe’ve been with VCA for many years and recently moved our animals to the Mather VCA when we moved here. They may be a little pricier than some other vets, but we think it’s been worth it.I, unfortunately, had to put my 15 year old cat to sleep a few weeks ago. Prior to that we had multiple visits for treatments and the doctors there were very efficient, honest, and compassionate about our options and trying to treat what was wrong with her.Dr. Faith was the doctor who was with me for the euthanasia procedure, and we had never previously met her before. But she provided absolutely wonderful care to both my cat at me during that difficult time. She let me know exactly what to expect every step of the way, and gave me as much time with my cat as I needed to say goodbye. Most importantly, she and the staff made sure my cat was absolutely comfortable and without stress the whole time.I cannot thank the staff enough for being so helpful and compassionate during a difficult time.
November 03 · Corey HelwigThey are friendly and show genuine care for your pets. They are also patient when you ask questions or explain about your pet.
June 11 · N McGeeWe love the attention we and our dog get when we come in. The doctors do a great job giving us the individual attention we need each time. They've helped us bring baby dogs up in this world as well as helping us at end of life times with a few dogs which can be painful. Anyways they're always cool at VCA Mather
February 28 · Greg FoxUnfortunately, we did not have a great experience here. Our cat had been seen there for a long time and we were having a good experience, but within the last year or two, I think things have gone downhill.Specifically, we have experience a lot of shortness and sometimes outright rudeness from the people who answer the phone and at the front desk. We've been made to feel dumb for asking simple questions--questions we have to ask in the first place because of lack of communication. For instance, apparently we were supposed to be notified ahead of a visit that the Dr. had recommended that our cat take a sedative before the visit, but it was never told to us, so we had to delay and reschedule an appointment. Then, we were always questioned about if we gave it to him at the right times after that, implying we were doing it wrong because our cat was still not happy to be getting a bunch of tests done.We also saw the person at the font desk be very rude to an person who was Asian American in a way that made us pretty uncomfortable, as well as loudly talking politics with others in the waiting room. Doesn't seem appropriate.I feel like the support staff is really hurting their business! Hope changes are made.
