Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
For pet owners across Avon, Massachusetts, and the wider Southeastern MA region, ensuring their beloved animal companions receive timely and essential preventive care is a key aspect of responsible pet ownership. Vetco Vaccination Clinic stands as a convenient and accessible option for these vital services, designed to integrate seamlessly into busy schedules while offering affordability. This article will provide a detailed look at what makes Vetco Vaccination Clinic a practical choice for local pet parents, focusing on its specialized offerings, client experiences, and the dedicated team that supports pet health in the community.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic operates with a clear and focused mission: to make fundamental preventive veterinary care, primarily vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite control, both affordable and easily accessible. Unlike full-service animal hospitals that handle a broad spectrum of medical cases and complex surgeries, Vetco Vaccination Clinics streamline the process for routine immunizations, allowing for quick, efficient visits. This specialized approach ensures that pets in Avon, Brockton, Stoughton, and surrounding towns can receive crucial health protections without the need for extensive, often costly, appointments. The clinic aims to foster a positive and stress-free experience for pets and their owners, ensuring that necessary health maintenance is a straightforward process.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic is located at 20 Stockwell Dr, Avon, MA 02322, USA. This address typically places the clinic within or adjacent to a Petco retail store, a common operational model for Vetco. This co-location offers a significant advantage for pet owners, allowing them to conveniently combine their pet's health visit with shopping for pet supplies, food, or toys. The Stockwell Drive location provides straightforward access for residents of Avon and surrounding communities in Southeastern Massachusetts.
The ease of access is a key benefit, particularly for quick, walk-in services like vaccinations or microchipping. Being situated in a location with ample parking, typical of retail centers, further enhances the convenience for pet owners. This strategic and accessible placement underscores Vetco Vaccination Clinic's commitment to serving the local Massachusetts community efficiently and effectively, ensuring that essential preventive veterinary care is readily available and easy to access for a wide range of households.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic specializes in a concise, yet critically important, range of preventive veterinary services, making it an excellent option for pet owners seeking efficient and cost-effective basic care. Their core offerings are designed for quick and focused visits:
- Vaccinations: Providing essential vaccinations for both dogs and cats. This includes core vaccines like Rabies, Canine Distemper/Parvo (DHPP or DAPP) for dogs, and Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia (FVRCP) for cats. They also offer non-core vaccines such as Canine Influenza, Leptospirosis, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), Lyme, and Feline Leukemia, depending on the pet's lifestyle and risk factors. Various vaccination packages are available to cater to different needs.
- Microchipping: Offering microchip implantation, a vital service for permanent pet identification. A microchip significantly increases the chances of reunification should a pet become lost, providing peace of mind for owners.
- Parasite Prevention & Testing: Prescribing and providing various options for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. They also conduct essential testing for Heartworm disease and common tick-borne illnesses (e.g., Anaplasmosis, Lyme, Ehrlichiosis) to ensure early detection and treatment.
- Fecal Testing: Performing fecal examinations to detect the presence of common intestinal parasites and recommend appropriate deworming protocols.
- Brief Wellness Checks: While not a full, comprehensive physical exam, the veterinarians and staff conduct a brief courtesy wellness check to ensure the pet appears healthy enough for the scheduled preventive services. For more detailed health concerns or sick visits, clients would typically be referred to a full-service veterinary hospital.
- Affordable Pricing Model: Known for its transparent and competitive pricing structure, often without additional exam fees for their specialized clinic services, making routine preventive care more accessible to a broader demographic of pet owners.
These focused services ensure that pets receive crucial protection against common diseases and parasites efficiently.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Avon stands out for several key features, often highlighted by its loyal customer base, even amidst some nuanced feedback regarding pricing.
- Exceptional Service & Compassionate Staff: The most consistent praise is for the staff's "EXCEPTIONAL service," "patience & compassion," particularly noted for Dr. Hickey and her team. This strong emphasis on kindness and clear communication ensures that pet owners feel valued and heard, even during routine visits.
- Responsive to Questions: Clients appreciate that their questions are "always always answer with patience & compassion." This dedication to client education is crucial for informed pet ownership.
- Convenient & Efficient Process: The walk-in or streamlined appointment model is highly valued by busy pet owners. While one client mentioned not being in the room with their pet for the first time, they acknowledged "it went well," indicating efficiency and trust in the staff's handling.
- Pet-Friendly Environment (Absence of Large Dogs): One specific highlight from a review was the satisfaction that "there were no big dog in the store." While this might not apply universally, it suggests an awareness of creating a less intimidating environment for smaller or more anxious pets, making visits more comfortable for some.
- Accessibility for Core Preventative Needs: For pet owners primarily focused on essential vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite control, Vetco offers a focused and accessible solution, reducing the need for more extensive, time-consuming, and potentially more expensive full veterinary appointments for these specific needs.
While a customer expressed a slight disappointment regarding the cost of a non-core vaccine and a disposal fee, the overwhelming positive sentiment regarding staff compassion and service quality prevented a lower rating, underscoring the strong positive impression the team leaves on clients. This balanced perspective highlights their strengths in client and pet interaction.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
Usually I would leave 5/ stars but I was disappointed on a separate canine influenza vaccine that is not a core vaccine, charged at $55.00 and then a disposal charge of $5.99 to throw the syringes out?..That’s expensive, I did not feel that this was any savings at all from my vet as I could have gotten the vaccination at vet for less than $45, had I known I would have gone to vet instead but close to my pets due date & I was already here!.Somewhat annoyed.. 😑 What prevented this from getting less than 3/ stars is the EXCEPTIONAL service from Dr Hiickey & her team that always always answer my questions with patience & compassion. I appreciate that!.
