Street Road is a major thoroughfare, ensuring easy navigation whether you're coming from within Bensalem itself or surrounding communities in Bucks County. This means you can often combine your pet's vaccination visit with other pet-related errands, such as purchasing food, toys, or other supplies. Ample parking is typically available, reducing the stress often associated with urban visits. Its position off a main road ensures that even during busier times, getting in and out is relatively straightforward, allowing for quick and efficient appointments, which is especially beneficial for pets who might be anxious about vet visits or for owners with busy schedules. Vetco Vaccination Clinic specializes in preventative care, primarily focusing on essential vaccinations. While they may not offer the full spectrum of services found in a traditional full-service veterinary hospital, their specialized approach ensures efficient and focused care for specific needs.
- Vaccinations: Vetco is renowned for providing a comprehensive range of vaccinations for both dogs and cats. These include core vaccines like rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus, as well as non-core vaccines such as bordetella (kennel cough) and leptospirosis, depending on your pet's lifestyle and risk factors. They aim to make these vital preventative measures accessible and straightforward.
- Preventative Medications: In addition to vaccinations, Vetco often offers common preventative medications, such as flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. These medications are crucial for protecting your pet from common parasites and diseases that can significantly impact their health and quality of life.
- Microchipping: For responsible pet ownership, microchipping is a vital service that Vetco often provides. A microchip significantly increases the chances of reuniting with your pet if they ever become lost, offering peace of mind for pet owners.
- Basic Wellness Checks (Limited Scope): While not a full diagnostic exam, visits to Vetco for vaccinations often include a brief assessment by a vet tech. This can involve checking your pet's general demeanor and sometimes basic vital signs, ensuring they are healthy enough to receive vaccinations. It's important to note that these are not comprehensive examinations and should not replace regular check-ups with a full-service veterinarian.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic offers several features and highlights that make it a distinct option for pet owners in Pennsylvania.
- Convenient Walk-in or Appointment Options: While specific procedures may vary by location and time, Vetco often provides walk-in services for vaccinations, making it incredibly convenient for busy pet owners. This flexibility allows you to get your pet's essential shots without the need for extensive pre-planning, though appointments are also often available for those who prefer them.
- Focus on Preventative Care: A key highlight is their specialized focus on preventative care. By concentrating on vaccinations and parasite prevention, they streamline the process, making these vital services more efficient and accessible. This targeted approach can be particularly beneficial for pet owners who primarily need these specific services.
- Experienced Vet Technicians: Based on customer reviews, the vet technicians at Vetco are often praised for their professionalism, patience, and gentleness. For example, one customer noted, "The vet techs were amazing, patient n gentle with my Hazel." This highlights the hands-on care provided by skilled individuals who are dedicated to making the experience as comfortable as possible for your pet.
- Calm Environment: While any clinic can have its moments, the design and flow of Vetco clinics, especially those within Petco stores, often contribute to a calmer environment. One reviewer mentioned, "the area of others was very calm," which is a significant advantage for anxious pets or those who react negatively to crowded or noisy environments. A calm setting can reduce stress for both pets and their owners during veterinary visits.
- Accessibility and Local Integration: Being situated within a well-known retail chain like Petco makes Vetco highly visible and easily integrated into a pet owner's routine. This accessibility encourages regular preventative care, which is a cornerstone of long-term pet health.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
Was a little behind in appts and I was worried about my pup being anxious but she did very well and the area of others was very calm. The vet techs were amazing, patient n gentle with my Hazel
Apr 02, 2024 · Lisa KliniewskiThe only reason i used Petco was because I'm traveling in an RV and my regular vet is not available to me. My biggest complaint is the cost. $51 for one shot! And it was a booster shot. My vet runs a low cost vaccine clinic once a month and the shots are only $20 each. The vet techs give the shots and you never see the doctor.
