Veterinary Medical Center Union City Introduce
For pet owners in California, finding a reliable and compassionate veterinary care provider is a top priority. In Union City, the Veterinary Medical Center stands as a pillar of trust and expertise, offering a wide array of services that go far beyond a typical vet clinic. This is a comprehensive animal hospital, a critical emergency care center, and a full-service veterinary pharmacy all rolled into one, providing a seamless and high-quality experience for you and your beloved pets. This guide will walk you through everything this center has to offer, from their extensive medical services to their convenient location and commitment to the community.
The Veterinary Medical Center is more than just a place to get your pet's shots; it’s a facility dedicated to providing extensive medical assistance and care throughout your pet’s life. The team, including dedicated veterinarians like Dr. Raj and Dr. Gill, and all the vet techs, are known for their friendly, compassionate, and attentive approach. As a long-term client noted, they "really care for them" and go the "extra mile" to assist with complex situations, such as preparing a pet for international travel. This level of personal care and dedication is a hallmark of their service and has built a foundation of trust with the community for over five years.
One of the key features of this medical center is the on-site veterinary pharmacy. This allows for unparalleled convenience, as you can have your pet's prescriptions filled immediately after their examination. This saves you an extra trip and ensures your pet starts their treatment without delay. Whether it's for a routine condition or a more urgent need, the in-house pharmacy is a critical part of their integrated healthcare model. This convenience, combined with their detailed invoicing for pet insurance claims, as a client mentioned, makes managing your pet's health and finances much simpler.
The hospital is praised for its clean and well-maintained environment, creating a comfortable and safe space for pets. The staff is consistently described as being fantastic listeners, taking the time to address client concerns and provide thorough advice. This is a place where you can feel confident that your voice is heard and that the after-care instructions for your pet are clear and easy to follow. This level of communication and attentiveness contributes to the overall positive experience that keeps clients coming back, some for over six years. The fair pricing compared to other Bay Area vets is another reason why this center is so highly recommended.
The Veterinary Medical Center is located at 33663 Mission Blvd in Union City, CA 94587. The location is easily accessible for residents of the Bay Area, situated on a main thoroughfare. The clinic is dedicated to being accessible to all, with a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom available. This commitment to inclusivity is also reflected in their LGBTQ+ friendly environment, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and respected.
The center operates on an appointment-based system, with appointments recommended and, in some cases, required. This structured approach helps them manage their workload efficiently, ensuring that each pet receives the proper time and attention they need without long wait times. This planning is crucial, especially for more extensive procedures or examinations. For urgent or emergency situations, they are equipped to provide immediate care, serving as a critical resource for the community when every second counts.
The location within Union City makes it a convenient option for local pet owners, whether it's for a quick visit for prescription refills or a comprehensive annual check-up. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Veterinary medical center has been taking good care of my pets for 5 years. They are very friendly and I can feel that they really care for them. They have been very helpful and took extra mile especially when I need to fly my pets abroad. It is also easy to file for insurance as they provide detailed invoice and if there is an issue, they provide details needed by insurance so that my pets are covered. Thank you Dr. Raj, Dr. Gill and all the vet techs, really appreciate what you do for my pets.
July 30 · Ivy BelimacThey have taken fantastic care of all four of my cats, two of them for over 6 years now. The offices are clean, I am never rescheduled, never given poor advice on after care for my cats and all four of my cats love the Gills. They also listen to my concerns and let me speak. Prices are fair compared to other bay area vets in my experience. Highly recommend coming to Union City for your pets!
May 30 · Alex LeonOur visit to this vet was incredibly frustrating. The doctor (Dr. Raj Gill) repeatedly dismissed both my concerns and those of my family regarding our dog’s health. The appointment felt rushed, and we left feeling completely unheard. When we decided to leave due to the lack of communication and care, the doctor actually followed us outside more concerned about the possibility of a bad review than addressing our dog’s needs. He continued to argue with us even after we said we were leaving. He later blamed the experience on being “understaffed,” which we understand to a point, but it does not excuse the lack of professionalism we encountered. This visit felt like a complete waste of our time and theirs. We came expecting compassion and attentive care for our pet, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. For a doctor to prioritize their online reputation over a pet’s well-being is deeply concerning.I would NOT recommend this clinic!!!!!!!!
May 29 · Leila VillegasI’ve been going to Dr Gil for years and I did love his service but not anymore. I tried calling and was left on hold for 15 minutes. Then my daughter called back and got right thru. Then the girl said can we call you back. Ok. 30 minutes later no call so I call back and she answers. Puts me on hold to talk to doctor. Someone else gets in the line and starts talking about someone else’s dog. What??? Then she says it will cost 105.00 for same day visit. In all the years I’ve been going to this vet it’s just not the same anymore. Highly disappointed. I was never ever charged for same day visit. Dr Gil appreciated the loyalty and would always take care of my dogs. It was run as a family and that’s how we were treated. Now I’m on the hunt for another vet.
August 09 · Teresa HigaresThe doctor treated my cat like an animal, not a pet. My cat was distressed with the way that he was holding him and the doctor did nothing to try and de-escalate the situation and calm him down. My cat ended up hissing at the care staff, something he's never done at the vets office. I do not like the care that I received here, and I won't be returning.
